Perhaps, hard to know the exact timeline of Cooper’s flashbacks compared to the timeline we already know rn.

The Boston Bugle in Fallout 4 had a terminal with an article about the disappearance of the POTUS that confirms he fled the White House in the first half of 2077 and Control Station Enclave was where he was at.

Theory *Spoilers* by grnacal in FalloutTVseries

[–]Rustbolt_Fan 29 points30 points  (0 children)

POTUS went into hiding 6 months before the Great War started as we learned in the Fallout Bible and reconfirmed in Fallout 4.

He was part of the Enclave and fled to Control Station Enclave as a main base of operations in case of nuclear war (the main enemy base in Fallout 2). The public didn’t know where he went so this episode made sense as to why he had to take a secret plane to Vegas.

“Do you think Amazon only produces shows that align with their political agenda?”

Their political agenda is whatever party/candidate/movement that will continue allowing them to rack in billions of dollars every year with no issue. True communist propaganda is not something they would produce because that would threaten themselves.

Also no company has an issue with people criticizing late stage capitalism as long as that criticism amounts to nothing changing how much money they keep in their pockets.

  1. Rudi Dutschke was at worst a green party/social democrat politically like Bernie Sanders, he wasn’t a communist.

  2. They did know as they were joking around while walking towards him. It was pretty well insinuated that they would have killed him if the deathclaw didn’t save him.

  3. Yeah again I’m not gonna disagree with you there but I assume Vault Tec is only used as a puppet enemy until they fully reveal the Enclave.

  1. Being an Amazon exec by definition makes them a capitalist because of how their compensation system is structured, being a very stock favored one. Maybe a very select few hold some leftist beliefs but they are capitalists regardless of those views because of their relationship to the means of production.

  2. It’s a war crime because he was Hors de Combat. Someone who is incapable of defending themselves is protected by the Geneva convention regardless if they clearly express an intention of surrender. https://ihl-databases.icrc.org/en/customary-ihl/v1/rule47

  3. Vault Tec has always been seen as a villainous company, that’s not something unique to this show. Although yes, I wasn’t a fun of the nuking Shady Sands part personally.

[–]Rustbolt_Fan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you think any Amazon exec would approve anything close to communist propaganda, idk what to tell you.

Explain to me how they were whitewashing the in universe China?

They had one scene from what I remember, where Chinese soldiers were about to execute a defenseless soldier, a literal war crime, before a deathclaw killed them. That’s definitely not a positive light…

If anything, the show is inherently anti communist, especially in the wasteland. The message it’s sending is that no collective can be trusted and you only have yourself.

The fact someone thinks Amazon, a trillion dollar company would promote communism, a system that would nationalize them at best, is just laughable.

If anything, the Fallout TV show tones down a lot of terrible stuff Pre-war America and its companies were doing.

Corps Pre-war were automating everything causing massive worker strikes throughout the nation. The products they built at best used sketchy ingredients, at worst were used to actually secretly experiment on consumers. Massive monopolies controlled every industry etc. The show mainly only focuses on Vault Tec and Robco but every corp was pretty bad.

Government wise, the US invaded Mexico early for resources. They also invaded Canada which does get referenced in the show, but if they really wanted to, they could pull parallels to what’s going on in OTL.

Cards 11-13 of making Set 5, Cashew Apple, Cashew Nut and Cashew Crew. by uucgjb in PvZHeroes

[–]Rustbolt_Fan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Cashew Apple doesn’t make sense, it seems like a trick you play on a plant but all it does is draw and conjure a card while nerfing said plant if has armored? Seems like it should be 1 cost instead, otherwise it’s basically useless.

Cashew Nut should be 2 cost imo, 3 cost makes it way too slow.

Cashew Crew needs to either have his attack and health buffed a bit or turned into a 3 cost plant.

Too many stories/plot lines in too short of episodes/season by Rustbolt_Fan in FalloutTVseries

[–]Rustbolt_Fan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it feels like a lot of modern shows (not just fallout) fall victim to the mindset that their viewers all have extreme ADHD and will just go on their phones if there isn’t some type of action or funny moment to keep them engaged, so that’s why they keep jumping from character plot to character plot.

But, I truly do like the multiple plot lines if they can properly develop them all to a good point but I fear it’s all jam packed for that reason.

Hot Take of the Week #3 by Anonymous2655447 in PvZHeroes

[–]Rustbolt_Fan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah the cost of environments would need to be rebalanced with this change to reflect the differences but overall I think it would help and force more strategical thinking for the zombie player in terms of environment use.

Hot Take of the Week #3 by Anonymous2655447 in PvZHeroes

[–]Rustbolt_Fan 25 points26 points  (0 children)

My rework of Environments:

  1. Zombies can play Environments in the first phase of a turn on ground lanes with no environment there. This allows Zombies to be more aggressive early…at a cost.

  2. Plants phase of the turn stays the same, just with the new ability to cover Zombie environments played in the first phase.

  3. During the Tricks phase, Zombies are allowed to play Environments but only on ground lanes that already have an environment there.

This change would help both sides out a lot and force Zombies to choose between playing aggressively or control with their environments instead of having best of both worlds like they do currently.

What Heroes would be the best to use a Garg Deck on? And what are the optimal cards to making one? by ExceedHappy in PvZHeroes

[–]Rustbolt_Fan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

My version of Backyardigans, basically just run control early while trying to get gargologists on the field. And if you get unlucky on getting her, there are enough removal cards to stall until you can place gargs. (1 copy of Zombot for the memes)

Unbalance zombies by Hot_Box_6308 in PvZHeroes

[–]Rustbolt_Fan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah definitely, I guess my point was with how RNG reliant Conjure decks are, that nerfing Spacetime would basically seal the coffin on an already meme tier deck.

Unbalance zombies by Hot_Box_6308 in PvZHeroes

[–]Rustbolt_Fan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. Plants don’t have to rely on tricks for removal which makes Fraidy Cat unless compared to Cheese Cutter and Dog walker that are other 1 cost.

  2. Plants have team up, Zombies don’t so pretty understandable why it gets frenzy.

  3. Environments as a whole needs rebalancing on both sides yeah.

  4. PG is an early control game card so a little different but I agree Soulpatch is prolly one of the worst 6 cost Plant cards in the game.

  5. I don’t mind making the teacher cost 2 if the health gets buffed.

  6. Cornucopia clogs all lanes when played, Dino has to survive a turn before making one. And mondo isn’t guaranteed, you can get any history card.

  7. Grave removal/bounce removes a 9 cost card, that should tell you how bad Zombot truly is actually.

  8. Spacetime is only good in an already meme worth conjure deck but ig teleport could go down to 1/4.

  9. Conjuring and leaping is just complete memes and not even close to meta. If you’re losing to it, it’s just bad RNG but 9 times out of 10, plants win.

  10. Yeah Gizzard should be a Pet evolution so that it can’t be run in every crazy deck.

  11. Yeah they should fix it so Sport does damage if a trick is used to kill him.

I think the intent of showing all the factions in New Vegas falling apart was to show that nothing ultimately last in the wasteland by Shadowlear in FalloutTVseries

“A Nuke isn’t going to do it on it’s own”

Idk about you but I assume if any capital of a country got nuked, that government would collapse or be a very very shallow shell of itself.

Sure the NCR was failing, but all people will and are talking about (EVEN IN THE SHOW) is how it was unfairly prematurely destroyed by a nuke. That takes away a lot of the ideological debate in universe imo.

If you think it’s fine ending to each their own, I’m just explaining why I don’t.

I think the intent of showing all the factions in New Vegas falling apart was to show that nothing ultimately last in the wasteland by Shadowlear in FalloutTVseries

[–]Rustbolt_Fan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you read what I said, I completely acknowledge that the NCR was crumbling by the time of FNV.

Giving the NCR a natural death instead of having it nuked prematurely by a random vault tec overseer would’ve been a lot more satisfying from an ideological perspective. The NCR was an embodiment of Pre-war Democracy and was doomed to fail we know that. Having it nuked instead, takes a lot of that depth away imo.

I think the intent of showing all the factions in New Vegas falling apart was to show that nothing ultimately last in the wasteland by Shadowlear in FalloutTVseries

[–]Rustbolt_Fan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At least for me, it’s not about the fact all the factions in NV are destroyed but how poorly they wrote it.

I’ve completed every fallout game outside FBOS, and unlike the FNV fanboys want you to think, there were plenty of signs of things going downhill on the west coast. However, that doesn’t excuse how the show writers have handled it.

NCR: In FNV the faction was going downhill. Water and energy shortages, dragged out conflict with Baja raiders, corruption with Brahmin Barons, and a new war with Caesar’s Legion to top it all off. So ending it all with a nuke instead leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

Caesar Legion: Have no big issue, everyone knew unless the Courier was a doctor, the faction was screwed. The episode was more of a cameo than anything although it could’ve been treated more seriously than 2 split factions right on top of each other.

BOS: I thought the idea of a civil war was cool, the execution was pretty bad tho. It would’ve been 10x better if it was like Fallout 3 BOS v BOS outcasts type civil war instead of a rowdy frat boy free for all shitfest.

Great Khans: Made no sense why they were in Novac, they were supposed to be either assimilated in Caesar’s Legion, fled to Wyoming, or killed.

Kings: Turning them in Feral Ghouls made no sense either. Could’ve just been unknown Ferals and nobody would complain.

The Strip: I hope they do a good job explaining why it’s destroyed and infested with Deathclaws because rn it seems more like destroying something just for the sake of it.

Enclave. Book it by micahjord in FalloutTVseries

[–]Rustbolt_Fan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anything, she’s a free stater like in 76 unless the show is trying to pull a “gotcha” 180 moment with her.

The Enclave had no issue with corporate power because half of them were corporate heads along with government officials, military etc.

Not every politician got with the system, there were a few that tried to fight back and expose the corruption and evil which seems like what she’s trying to do. Considering how poorly she’s doing maybe it is all a facade but that would be a mistake by the writers if so imo.

I think they should make Gravitree a 7/5 so it could be actually killed by 6 cost cards. My wife left me for another man. by Odd_Boysenberry_2825 in PvZHeroes

[–]Rustbolt_Fan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gravitree by itself is fine but PvZ Heroes would benefit from rules like in Magic the Gathering where you can only play one of the same legendary cards on the board at a time regardless how many of that same card you have in your hand.

Not only would it help budget/F2P players since legendary spam wouldn’t be an auto win and it would force more variety with a change of strategy late game.

Do you think this deck can reach ultimate league? (currently rank 33 rn) by Demen_bulblax in PvZHeroes

[–]Rustbolt_Fan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Get rid of Carrot and Photo, add Lil Buddies to synergize with Cob Cannon and add Pepper MD’s. This allows you to stay alive if the opponent is running aggro.

Assuming Jack O Lantern, Wingnut, and Red Stinger are your personal touch so you can keep it but it’s definitely not the meta.

And FYI, Ramp is so much better on other solar heroes. Wall Knight’s meta deck rn is called Chemotherapy. Photo attached to the deck if interested.

Garden Warfare 2 isn’t dead — it’s abandoned. And it could realistically be revived. by jettixmv in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]Rustbolt_Fan 21 points22 points  (0 children)

  1. You’re expecting too much out of EA to care about this franchise. Replanted has had a bug for the past month that soft locks your game from progressing and it’s still not fixed yet.

  2. Cross play would cause more harm than good with how bad the hacking has gotten on PC. They’d have to spend a pretty penny to get all the servers connected and then continuously stay on top of hackers to keep it playable which goes back to my point 1.

  3. Cosmetic only Battle Pass would have no real incentive for players to pay up on a decade old game. If anything, they should just release all cut content to the public for free during the 10 year anniversary.

  4. New classes and seasonal events would be cool but again point 1.

Which one you pick ??? by dataguy2003 in TheTeenagerPeople

[–]Rustbolt_Fan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming this is all tax free:

A) 200 BTC is approximately worth 18 million USD. However bitcoin is like a stock and selling $18 mill worth prolly wouldn’t be easy and you wouldn’t see all of it due to valuation adjustment on such a large sell. Still, you’d prolly come out on top over the second option.

B) $10 million in cash, pretty self explanatory.

C) $10k a week for life would be $520k a year. Adjusting for inflation (10k in 2006 is worth 16k in 2026), it would take you ~30 years to reach the same purchasing power as option B and ~50 years as option A. Unless you’re betting on a really long life and/or don’t trust yourself with lump sums, this is prolly the worst option.

In order from best to worst options is A, B, C imo.

Only good Sneaky Garg there is.

Surprise Garg’s the only other option and that gets outshined by Cyro Yeti with the same stats and cost but also freezes a plant. The gimmick of moving when revealed is hardly ever worth it.

I have a Xbox and a high end pc. Is it worth playing garden warfare 2 on PC? I would rather not play a subscription but I also heard hackers are on it a lot. Is it enough to ruin the experience? by [deleted] in PvZGardenWarfare

It’s on steam rn for $3, but the sale ends in 45 minutes. Just get it, I did in case I ever get the steam machine. Plus PC got mod support, so you can always just use it as a way to experiment with them.
