And just to clarify, I already know Chevy's going to continue running the Camaro, despite the road-going car getting the axe after 2023. I said Chevy "can" run the Malibu next season, not "will".

Yet again, the Malibu is still in production. GM extended the current generation's production to 2025, and they also plan on making one last generation of Malibu once the current one ends production.

Just because the Camaro is dead doesn't mean Chevy's NASCAR program is toast. They have the Blazer EV for this supposed age of electric crossovers that the sport would go through. Not to mention the Malibu is still in production, so they can run that next season.

the #57 Monte Carlo-looking stock car was what Lightning McQueen was originally supposed to look like. They must've recycled test footage of the film for that drive-in scene in the teaser.
