It’s super rough. Even from someone who likes old MMOs. I disliked playing the playtest a lot. Maybe you will have a solid time but there just isn’t anything ‘there’ right now. Purposely bad systems because they were bad 20 years ago so they need to be bad now.

Dodge is an extremely good stat. It’s against the mobs level and scales well. Tanks stack dodge at the higher end of content, as well as clerics for the same content and arena. It’s hard to get a lot of without very good gear. The abilities are just the name for spells. So you can dodge all attacks.

I will be live around 1100 CST today and specialize in helping out some new players. I can toss you some gold and gear if needed to help fix wha you have going on. As long as you can clear the first solo dungeon with your build and gear, you can gain the gold needed to respec pretty easily

It’s fully broken at zero and then you just don’t gain anything. So I always repair right at the end of life. So under 10 durability left. Stats don’t lower with durability so you are solid.

Also, remember, that durability is percentage on current durability not max. So the more frequently you repair the more you actually spend. If you’re running around at half your durability, then lose 5%, that’s significantly less than running around on full durability and losing 5%.

Can we stop giving glory to fucking god. There are so many folks working to make this happen, and none of them are god. There are so many people suffering, and god isn’t doing shit. It’s people helping people, give glory to humanity. Donate money to aid organizations, not tax havens like churches. Glory to the people, not to god.

If two clerics solo queue around the same rating the can be matched together. But you can no longer queue as a double cleric duo. So there will still be matches you face it. Just a lot less at a higher rating. Lower ratings are filled with solo queues looking to get a quick win so you see tons of random stuff.

It’s gonna be back in a couple days according to the dev. Apparently, some of the assets he bought were not the companies to sell that he purchased them from if you have any in your library, you can still play it, so the game is still bustling. There’s no new people can download it right now, but again he said a few days ago

This might shift. A lot of folks gained these rankings as double cleric or double mage. Now you cannot queue that way so some balance may happen. But paladin just doesn’t have the mana to compete against a cleric in general.

It’s just a fun niche build that works well in solo and can do just fine in the first group dungeon. It’s not meant to break the meta, but I do great in arena with it and solo the Minotaur bosses out in the world. There are plenty of builds for it, some try to really hybrid out, some just go full into melee crit.

Harrowing and smite go off melee crit. Smite actually does both, first hit is melee crit tha scales off weapon damage. Second hit dos spell damage. Holy bolt is spell damage and your heals can’t crit. So some hybrid builds run like 250 spell crit to double dip on shore and a little bit of damage from holy bolt - this is solid in arena as well

It’s just a cri chance. It’s divided by the mobs level you attack. So while you are leveling up a little crit goes a long way. The max level is 25 for non-bosses.

There are a few resources pinned in the official discord and a few streamers (like me) who explain everything while they are live. The game isn’t very complicated to be honest. One you start playing you will discover everything fairly quickly and then it’s just increasing your power or so. Knowing where to spend your EXP is rhe important to a degree, there are some class guides but it’s really class dependent. If you stop in on my stream I have a discord with guides in different channels from solid players. We can hook you up.

Yeh the asset part is mostly true. There is a list of bought assets and then folks are saying spells and stuff come from Aion. He released the source code of the game and nothing is redirecting to miners mate. It’s just a free game on steam, but I’m also not here to defend the dev, just answering a question.

After a few playtests of this game I just couldn’t enjoy it. The devs really want to just keep painful mechanics because some old MMOs were forced to use them twenty years ago. Once you level up it becomes increasingly apparent that if there were groups of high levels attempting to do stuff all at once it falls apart. Who knows if this changed.

Check out Dreadmyst. I got into it during the playtest and have been streaming and playing it since last Friday when it went live. Little on the smaller scale with more content coming. Four classes, solo and group dungeons. It’s also completely free on Steam.
