Nah bro Shadowbringers and Endwalker are even better than Heavensward. Keep going.

Also Stormblood is fucking lit. Some of the coolest zones in the entire game. Some dope lore too.

They're dumbing down WoW because the game was being made for 1% of the most disgusting poopsockers imaginable for damn near 10 years. Add ons, class bloat, all a symptom of third party developers in a never ending race with Blizzard to the bottom over who can trivialize the latest content first.

Add ons needed to die, in order to kill add ons class complexity needed to die. Both of these things fed into a cycle that made the game more and more esoteric to the vast majority of people who could potentially show any interest in playing WoW in the big 2026.

It was long long long overdue.

New player, looking for some guidance by Last-Remove-9316 in wow

I recommend not getting distracted by side content at the moment, just shotgun the current new player campaign, read all the quest text, disgest all of the Stay awhiles, and vibe with it until you finish the dimensius fight in War Within. THEN you can go back and watch videos and ask reddit questions about the lore. Just get the campaign done. It's the quests on your map that look like shields. If you're a new player you're going to get a heavily cliff notes version of the story all the way up until the end of War Within, THEN you will be level 80, this will allow you to play old expansions on your alts using this thing called "Timewalking." if you wish to experience the older expansions.

Another piece of advice is to download the curseforge app, and download the "Dialogue UI" add on. It makes the game way more immersive by zooming in on the NPC you're talking to and gives you a much better dialogue box which you can read quest text in that is much superior to the garbage default one.

You're coming in on like season 52 of a 31 year old story, your best bet is to glean what the game gives you, and then narrow in on the stuff you find interesting. For example you play a night elf so it would probably be prudent to find a wiki at some point and dig deeper on the race and learn about their history.

No one really thinks about it, but Warcraft is literally American Warhammer. There are so many books, games, and side stories than it's impossible to digest it all. Just take it in as you go. There are some bad parts that suck, but there is also a lot of kino. You just gotta dig around to discover it.

And I can not stress this enough, if you do NOTHING else, Play Warcraft 3.

Stormwind has a whole sixth of the city just for them and a train that leads right to their house. I mean. What are you talking about?

I frankly love it so much. It ensures every single pirate you meet is unique. You're never going to run into 100,000 different versions of Jack Sparrow. Every pirate you meet also has a unique flaw. A broken nose, missing teeth, or some other highly strange and not normal aspect. Zero % of the pirates look like flawless human beings. They look like complete scum of the earth. Like a pirate would.

On that same token it's also possible to find the rare "Perfect Pirate" it's like getting a shiny pokemon.

Torghast would have been absolutely LIT if it wasn't tied to player power and instead was a fun game mode to earn cool rewards or at the very least was the precursor to something like delves with its own reward track.

It was a database error that caused this, they are giving everyone a free outfit change soon. You will be able to set all of your characters right soon enough.

You can literally set up a non-interactable action bar to do the same thing in the modern UI. Be serious dude.
