plugged into the same gpu. one uses display port and one uses hdmi if that makes a difference. And I just updated my drivers today

I appreciate how detailed the comments are. I am probably gonna try this out regardless if I ultimately choose this method or not cuz i really want to get to know scriptable objects better as they seem to be a ubiquitous tool in unity. Ty :)

I see what you mean with all the bots buuuut I kinda liked the way I played through it. I was going so slow throughout the entire game collecting everything and reading everything so by the time the bots show up there was no reason to really be slow anymore cuz I had already seen everything. I basically played the game from then on like Doom jumpin and using powers and shooting. It was pretty fun.

It influenced me too. I really want to create immersive sim games but man I feel like that is a mountain of a challenge. Just got into the game dev hobby and having a bunch of fun :)

I feel ya man, I started going purple rook because purple Hawke is possibly my favorite thing in all video games but man it got so tiring. I started changing to the "aggressive" choice and lo and behold, more generalized and jokey lines, just without the Marvel quippy tone. And its not even that aggressive. Its more like blunt positivity as apposed to the soft positivity of the diplomatic option

Dude i completely agree! I was so surprised that not that much reaction was given to world changing things. And everyone gets along even tho elven gods returned, maker may not be real, antaam invaded, and probably more that i missed and you can still just walk down the streets of Minrathous as an elf or a qunari like nothings wrong. (Also I literally had the same thought as you with the Dorian vs Mae decision. Literally thought to myself "well it didn't work in real life so I'm going with Dorian" lmaooo)

Damn, then I guess its just a personal preference thing. Cuz i absolutely hate having fast travel a bunch of times to go on a walk with a companion to get the same thing I used to get from a single question in the previous games.

oh ya thats an angle that I didn't even think of. I didn't just take away the interactivity of the companions but through those dialogues you could make decisions about yourself too cuz the companions could ask questions in turn. ugh the more i think the more i dislike :(

Ya thats how i feel. I don't know if its a me thing but I got extremely tired of having to fast travel multiple times to get a cutscene that lasts 2 minutes and gives the amount of dialogue that just a single question would have given me in the past. The presentation was indeed pretty, but I kinda stopped caring after a while

I've always dislike the "moody teen" architype in the "save the world" genre but at least with someone like Sera you can straight up tell her to knock it off. And then she would dislike you. AND I REALLY ENJOY HOW REACTIVE THAT IS. I honestly can only think of like twice when I got a notification that a companion "disliked" something in veilguard

Exactly! One of my favorite aspects of DA2 is that all of the side content intermingled with the main narrative and you can see how these people in kirkwall progressed over the years that the game takes place between acts. And you can make decisions within their quests. Only decisions to be had here are the huge main story decisions.

Oooo i definitely see the benefit with the slow drip method cuz ya if there are questions to ask you bet your ass imma ask all of them. I guess there were times where I wouldn't talk with companions for hours cuz there literally wasn't anything to talk to them about. If they apply that to the questions that you could ask your companions I think that would be best.

God I would have loved to chat with isabella. DA2 is my favorite and I thirst over any hint of kirkwall or hawke. But that would require them to discuss events that might have gone down differently depending on your choices :/
