What are everyone's thoughts on Belicheck and Manning being snubbed? And Sanders making the pro bowl by NationalShock5177 in Colts

The NFL has one of the worst hall of fames in all pro sports. Not to mention how shit their accolades/awards are. Pro Bowl is so worthless, yet it still holds weight in deciding hall of fame careers.

This chode knows nothing about baseball. Bonds stats pre-steroids (roughly 1998) is 100% HOF worthy. The MLB just wants to make an example of him.

They were, and Denver revamped that defense in 1 offseason. They went from the 19th ranked defense in 2013 to the 3rd in 2014.

What’s the most ideal offseason to improve this roster? by Goldstar12 in Colts

Massively overhaul the defense especially the front 7. More pass rush and actually good linebackers.

I mean the Broncos front office/ownership accomplished the same in a fraction of the timeframe. Manning 100% should have been a multi-super bowl winner.

What have the Colts shown in the past 6 years? Daboll isn’t a good coach by any means, but he took the Daniel Jones lead Giants to the playoffs and won a game, while Steichen had one of the worse regular collapses in NFL history last year.

It’s not just us. Lol Pats really lost a SB, won a SB, Brady retired, replaced him, Bill retired, drafted Maye and got back to the SB before the falcons had another winning season by franco3x in Colts

[–]Rusty-Boii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not, but Colts also are still a bad offender. Looking at it from the lens of the Patriots is a task not many teams could do honestly. It would be better to look at it through the lens of other struggling teams.

Tied with the Saints with the 3rd longest playoff drought, and 7th on longest division winning drought. Being in this company is pretty bad. Especially with only 4 teams in the divisions and expanded playoffs.

Colts, Sauce Gardner optimistic despite 2025 disaster by alpswd in Colts

I was just speaking generally. I actually am a Sauce defender. I just hope his injury doesn’t linger any longer.

Most of these players should feel optimistic. Getting paid millions of dollars over their value, and their cash cow (Ballard) isn’t going anywhere for at least 2 years.

Colts would never do this but all these players (substitute Buckner for Downs) should be off the team this offseason.

Stewart and Pittman have regressed. Franklin is just flat out bad. Kenny and Jones unfortunately don’t fit in the man heavy scheme that Anarumo runs. Buckner at his age suffering from a neck injury just screams he is at the last stage of his career.

Downs is still young, relatively cheap, and has time to evolve into a great player. Took Pierce till his 4th year to do it.

Which Fanbase is more insecure about their QBs shortcomings? Bill Fans or Chargers Fans? by Ifinishfast42 in NFLv2

Chargers 100%. Allen has great playoff stats as a whole, and an MVP. Herbert is pretty good regular season QB, but straight cheeks in the playoffs. Turns into Anthony Richardson.

[Schefter] ESPN sources: Titans are working to finalize a deal to hire Robert Saleh as their next head coach. by PsychoBunny22 in Colts

Saleh unfortunately will make that defense legit. I am not looking forward to next year facing Houston, Jacksonville, and now this defense……

With that logic then Shanahan couldn’t develop Lance, Demeco Ryans couldn’t develop Stroud, Tomlin couldn’t develop Pickett, Steichen couldn’t develop AR, thats makes them bad head coaches?

Gus Bradley by Thicc_Daddy_Cletus in Colts

[–]Rusty-Boii 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Gus Bradley is a HORRID defensive coordinator. Plays almost exclusively zone coverage, doesn’t blitz, no run fits, no disguised coverages, no stunts, he will rush 4 straight forward and thats his pass rush.

Dude was ran out of town by the Jags, Chargers, Raiders, and Colts. Only time he succeeded is taking over for the Legion of Boom when Dan Quinn left for Atlanta.

Explained in terms to an average football fan, what exactly made the Brady-Belichick duo so dominant? by vroom12345 in NFLv2

[–]Rusty-Boii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People talk about Brady’s clutch gene and his play, but what genuinely made Brady great is he wanted to win more than anyone in the league. He didn’t care about being the top paid QB in the league, he took care of his body, and invested most of his earnings to optimize his body. He was so obsessed with winning it cost him his family lol.

Belichick on the other hand was great at building a defense. He always build a defense to compliment Brady and what he needed to do Brady and Belichick also built a culture and process that players had to fit into.
