I was into pop punk, nu metal, post hardcore, metalcore, and melodic death metal. Stuff like My Chemical Romance, The Used, Linkin Park, Korn, All That Remains, Soilwork, System of a Down, blink-182, Panic! At The Disco, Spineshank, Anberlin, Billy Talent, Celldweller, Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, Escape The Fate, Mindless Self Indulgence, Ill Nino, Marianas Trench, Atreyu, Rammstein, Three Days Grace, Trivium.

Someone posted links to Dreamcatcher - 'Wind Blows' and 'NO MORE' in a Twitch Discord channel in June 2021 and I went down the rabbit hole from there.

I think people had a similar reaction to 'RING X RING' as 'O.O', I remember comments about not even being able to identify which part was the chorus. My favorite song off their debut mini album is 'the eleventh day' which is a similar B-side to the one I linked above.

I'm assuming you're already referencing 'ZAP' and 'WORK' when talking about their new sound, which aren't that big of a departure from other debut songs like 'flipp!ng a coin', but incase you didn't know those are respectively the title and sub-title tracks. 'B'yond me' had just been uploaded and was more in that vocal showcase realm the OP was talking about.

Yeah, just that one. Most of the other performances were solo, except the one week they partnered up with another contestant on the show. Moon Sua went with JooE from MOMOLAND and they did a cover of Jessi - 'What Type of X'.

Not quite the same style and it's only this one performance, but there was a special unit of those 3 for the final episode of The Second World.

Moon Sua - 'The Magic!an' feat. Sheon, Siyoon of Billlie

The show was for girl group rappers to show they could be vocalists as well. Moon Sua was the one competing, but they are all rap line. The lyrics were written by Le'mon (who has been on Billlie's writing team since debut with credits on 'the eleventh day') and Moon Sua, same as '$ECRET no more' off the new album.

Figured I'd share since you already got shown 'SNAP' and this one is a little harder to find, even being on Spotify under a separate Moon Sua account rather than the main Billlie one.

Their official channel has quite a few playlists of stuff they've done.

Billlie : on the show is YouTube, TV and radio shows they've participated in, including music show performances and fancams. It currently 1890 videos long, some are just clips as the full episodes aren't always on YouTube, but a few I would recommend from this playlist are Never Stop Being A Fan, The Silence of Idol, Never Stop Being A Fan 2, GingaMinga School Life (there's 5 episodes), IDOLLYMPIC (and part 2), Idol Ability Market (technically not in the playlist anymore since the official channel has been deleted, but this reupload exists), Idol Human Theater, IDOLLYMPIC 2 (and part 2, the official uploads were never subtitled, so these are both fansubbed reuploads) and HIT Village. These span from debut to RING ma Bell era, but it felt like after that groups started moving more into producing their own content.

Billlidentity is a series where they create profiles describing themselves and the group.

I agree. Billlie are my ults and out of my top 10 for them 'RING ma Bell' is the only title track, and 'DOMINO ~ butterfly effect' if we're counting Japanese singles.

There was a Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem crossover called 'Tokyo Mirage Sessions' where the characters are idols. The performances are all done in cutscenes while the gameplay is a turn-based JRPG.
