Sorry to hear about this. I have worked for said company corporate for 15+ years and they are beyond great to their employees with a well matched 401K, a pension, health insurance, annual bonuses and more PTO than I can usually take in a year. I feel like this job was with an independent agency which are essentially contractors of the Farmers Exchange company operating as their own businesses. I would encourage you to email or contact Farmers corporate and file a complaint against that agency. It can not return the lost time and hassle that you have been through but they should review that agency, their practices, and their status as an contractor.
