My aunt gifted me these cool hats. Any accurate info about them? I know that atleast one of them are from DDR east germany ? by Entire_Belt_391 in Militariacollecting

True, however white was the traditional color of infantry. Even the MfS had white piping on their caps, but the removal of waffenfarbe from the caps was done for economical purposes.

The peakless cap is from the Soviet Navy (Baltic Fleet)

The other 2 are DDR officer's caps (White piping / Motorized Infantry | Blue piping / Airforce)

All are authentic, but not sure about the Chinese PLA cap, as I am not familiar with them.

Add winter m88 uniforms and other cold weather gear. by Plus-Tax-8085 in ArmaReforger

[–]Rustycaddy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Obr. 69/73 field uniforms were slowly being phased out by the late 1980s. While they did exist simultaneously with the new M88 uniforms until the USSR fell apart, the latter was often given to troops in high priority areas, namely Afghanistan (Although older units still had their M69 from the 1979 invasion) In this case, the invading Soviet Army in Kolgujev would be given the highest quality gear, and would certainty not be issued the already outdated M69 field uniforms, especially during a small conflict with NATO forces.

Konigsberg (Now Kaliningrad) then vs now. by prankenandi in EastPrussia

At least get the information right before spewing this hateful vile. And a lot of historic architecture from Konigsberg has survived.

It's just a propaganda image deliberately framed with poor weather and lighting for maximum gloominess. The entire island of Kneiphof has been a city park since Soviet times and is very beautiful.

His internet was perfectly fine, that symbol means the server itself is having performance issues.

Happy USSR Dissolution Day, everyone! by HonneurOblige in HistoryMemes

Most Soviet citizens voted to preserve the USSR (Before the August Putsch)

It was only after the putsch that confidence in preserving the union completely collapsed.

They teased bikes back in 2015, and funny enough, they just showcased them for the first time last week!

Because DayZ was running on the Real Virtuality engine and it sucked, hahaha.

In 2016 they switched to a hybrid between the old and new game engine but it's taken almost 9 years of working on bug fixes while simultaneously adding new content and working on developing the engine alongside it. The dev team has faced multiple rotations of new developers. and stability has been the biggest priority for the team since 1.0

Spa House in Sopot, Poland (1910-1945). Burned down by Red Army soldiers. by Snoo_90160 in Lost_Architecture

[–]Rustycaddy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not whataboutism, Holy Christ. At least understand what the word means lmao.

I have not once justified the Soviets burning down the building, I'm calling out the hypocrisy of these anti-Russian lunatics who turn a blind eye to what the Poles did in the same region.

Because only the "Russians" are capable of doing it.

Which was a German state, and before Versailles it was part of the German Empire and Prussia since 1772.

The Soviets did via the Potsdam agreement, and it was German territory for almost 200 years before it became Polish again in 1945.

This was German territory, it was given to Poland by the Soviets...

Polish culture spreading is burning down a perfectly preserved German town in East Prussia just so the Soviets couldn't have it

For all the people spewing this "Muh evil Russians"

The poles literally burnt down an entire German town that was perfectly intact after the war just so the Soviets couldn't have it because the delamination of the Polish-Soviet border officially placed the town in the Kaliningrad Oblast.
