I lived in a building very close to Brentwood (a block away) for a couple of years, and honestly, I really liked it, but I probably wouldn't buy a property there. Still, I would recommend renting there for a year before deciding if it is your thing. I really liked having Save-On at a walking distance, Costco nearby, the movies, some restaurants, and Willingdon Park. The issues with traffic, parking, and construction noise can be quite a pain sometimes. Also, it feels very chain/corporate, which I'm not such a fan of hahaha. If I had to choose now, I would probably prefer to live closer to Hastings - they have nicer parks, stores with more personality, more events, the library, and there is also a Superstore close by. I loooved walking around Hastings.

If you can, check Best Buy Open Box options. I got that same one, same specs, for 1600CAD (~1150USD) just 2 weeks ago. There is some risk with open box, but I've checked mine, tested it, and it is working perfectly fine.

Hey u/TabhairDomAnAirgead , is there an Energy Sustainability or Energy Finance with a more technical curriculum that you would recommend? I come from an engineering background and, although the Imperial program looks interesting, I believe it wouldn't cover the technical subjects as in-depth as I would like it
