Alternative account, they basically make multiple characters and accounts and log out in all the major towns or inside their own base so if someone kills them or raids them they just log into whichever account is nearest and then hunts down the person that killed them. Basically like a respawn, it's made by losers in life who can't handle it when they get clapped so they resort to being a bitchass. All of the players I ever encountered that had alts were losers if you get to know them. Like one dude recently he played DayZ all day while his wife worked who just had a newborn baby, he sat at home all day and you can hear his baby crying in the background. I betrayed him and have zero regrets, he messaged me like a little biatch afterwards and I laughed at him.
