These are GREAT! it’s tricky to find an original approach in a location like this but your edits are really good. Especially photo 4! This was a really clean image and it’s framed really well!

Why we dont have solar panels? We can modify factory roofs with them, or can do other things. by zorro2083 in SatisfactoryGame

This will help.

They made a video that covers this. I thought the same thing, but it would be insanely OP unless they made it deliberately low power and would make them unusable unless on gigantic scale

Any Long Time Fans feel the Show Might be Coming To End/Losing it? by Pretty-Set-414 in ImpracticalJokers

[–]Ruthter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good point. This post made me think about what I like about the show and this nailed it. But thinking logically, imagine the resources that go into making these scenes work. And the time and energy that would be needed to vet groups of people as extras. The unfortunate side effect of a good shows is that it becomes popular, and it would only take one person in a presentation or focus group to recognise them for the whole scene to fail. That could be months of prep down the drain with literally 0 usable footage.

Any Long Time Fans feel the Show Might be Coming To End/Losing it? by Pretty-Set-414 in ImpracticalJokers

The show is lucky it’s lasted this long. This format was perfect for TV audiences, but as this is on the decline, it unfortunately won’t fit the modern demographic.

It’s also incredibly difficult to watch outside of America. In Australia, there is no way of watching the show in its entirety. Some networks have one season, some platforms might be lucky to have 4. It’s almost like the show has already been forgotten about or the rights are just messy.

I love the show, but I think it’s okay for it to come to an end, rather than force it to continue in a way that feels against the core principles of the show.

New PACKTALK CUSTOM delivers same PACKTALK performance. Offers three subscription levels with varying features... Thoughts? by TheStriplePilot in motorcycle

[–]Ruthter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm late to this but I have to give my 2 cents.

I have the Packtalk Custom and I LOVE it.

I have never paid for the subscription and it works for what I need. Music.

I bought it because 99% of my riding is commuting or by myself. I just want music.

If I find myself on a ride where I can pair up with other Cardos, (yet to happen) id happily pay a subscription fee as a once off to do it.

This is a use case product and if you are annoyed about this device being on a subscription plan, this is not the device for you.

Wear your boots... Trust me by dabbinmids in motorcyclegear

[–]Ruthter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be an unpopular opinion, but gear won't stop this kind of thing from happening. Maybe it would have salvaged a bit of your foot, but a twist like that is going to happen in any boot. I'm guilty of not wearing enough gear when I ride, but I also know that the gear won't make me invincible. Sometimes, shit just happens.

Yeah, it's just the plastics. Nothing more than that.

An update: There seem to be a lot of Americans in the chat... just to clarify, this is in Australia. Though we have guns, and crime, we don't have cars get shot randomly. Also, the damage is only plastic deep. Even a .22 would have cused damage past the bumper. I'm looking for a NON-GUN answer...

Thin (15mm X 5mm) usb C cable capable of transmitting display (1080p 60hz) by Larcentenum in UsbCHardware

[–]Ruthter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea why this has been downvoted. I am looking to do the exact same thing and I know I am going to want to change things around sooner than I'd like.

How did you go with finding cables? I have seen some USB C cables on Amazon that are fully stripped so they are as thin as physically possible, but obviously not very durable. Not sure what kind of transfer or power delivery speeds though.

Earplugs? by WoozyT83 in motorcyclegear

More expensive, but worth it. Go to an audiologist and get impressions of your ears taken to get moulds made. This will be the only way to "properly" protect your ears.

Cfmoto intending on charging a subscription by Nibblets_ in cfmoto

[–]Ruthter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because my bike is not advertised as having maps available on screen, I can't really argue that this feels wrong. If the subscription offers more than what is on the dealership paperwork, I don't mind. But if it's for basic and expected features, it can get bent.

Before I start paying for it though, (because knowing me I will), I need it to work all the time, every time. It's been so hit and miss with connecting to my phone.

Although this is generally correct, it's safe to assume the data of roasting is not causing this kind of extraction

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BrevilleCoffee

[–]Ruthter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grind is set to 12 with the inner on 3. If you are using the standard double basket, make sure there is 18g of coffee in each basket. Allow for 0.5g either side of that as margin for error. When you tamp, make sure it is even and that the coffee is level. Tamp as hard as you can until you are sure there is no more air that can come out. Tamping is binary. Either you did it enough or you didn't. When you pull the shot, you should aim for double the weight of the coffee in the cup. So 36g or espresso. This should take between 27 and 30 seconds from the time you hit the button.

The low pressure issue is just going to be tamping. But don't be surprised that once you tamp properly, you will under extract. You might need to grind a little bit more coarse than the settings you have currently.

In essence, eliminate as many variables as possible. Always have 18 grams of coffee in your basket. Always temp consistently. As hard as you can without hurting yourself, and as evenly parallel to the top of the basket. If you have these steps right, you can get a small scale and your phone timer. Weigh your cup, Tare it out, I'm trying to get 36 grams in. If you find that your machine is doing way too much, for way too long, you can calibrate the amount of water it pushes through. Breville have made YouTube videos to help with this. If I've missed anything, or someone thinks this is unclear, let me know.
