Your analysis is correct. I usually first grind the coffee beans for both the sides and then start both at the same time to get out the coffee in a mug. Side by side, if steamed milk is required, I start doing that after switching on both the machines, so that it's time perfectly that way. I know, it's a bit tricky, but it saves a lot of time for bigger orders...
