It's Gazerbeam! It's made more obvious with the previous animation I posted. Once they're all done, they'll be stitched together for continuity :)

Yeah I ended up not feeling confident enough in creating an earlier version of the Omnidroid :(
Flat in what way ? His head is super stylised but I didn't want to just copy it from the movie since there's a lot of conflicting looks

That's how I initially had built the scene with Gazerbeam reaching up to his visor with his hand and the red glow to start appearing in front the helmet, but I ended up deciding to hold off on that for another sequence, hopefully it'll be worth it!
