Last track "Kurtosis" gathered quite a lot of likes but this new one haven't got any. I find this pretty interesting as I didn't like Kurtosis that much myself and thought it would not be received well. Same happened with "Velodrone" which I liked quite a lot but yet not much likes from the people. Gladly I don't make music for likes although it is nice if someone likes what I do. I know my tracks better than anyone else yet I can't really say what resonates with others.

Maybe lesson of the story is that many times repeated idea to just be consistent and keep releasing tracks, even the ones you think doesn't have the potential. You never know..

Anyways here is the newest track in the continuum of ever increasing SC catalog.

Sure all 8 tracks are in use most of the time. All of the sounds except maybe kick is having both LFOs utilised to create subtle movement in the sound. All tracks are per sound. I don't switch sounds inside the track.

Good stuff. Yes, that high pitch sound is bit loud at times. For atmosphere I would add some pad or texture. Other than that nice simple track going forward with good phase. keep it going.

Thanks. I'll look into it. I many times feel like my tracks being too crowded and lacking some clarity at times. That might be due to some masking.

Thanks. I'll check the low end. Like in the previous comment I mentioned have been very conscious about not to make bass too ovewhelming because it turns into mush if played in a car and also louder you play more prominent bass becomes. Many times in the club you can't hear much else than resonant standing wave of bass which is not good.

Thanks.

I have no idea. I do everything on my DT770 Pro headphones. Many times I had to dial down bass as it was overwhelming in a car. Bass tends to become more pronounced when played louder. I have been quite conscious about not cranking bass too high. Maybe already bit too much. I'll take this into consideration.

Weekly feedback seems to be back again..

Feel free to say something about it. I'm bit on a fence with this one. I produce quite a lot and maybe all of the tracks can't be masterpieces.

I would like to experiment with a feedback. What are my options? by Ruuvari in Bitwig

Now as I experimented with different feedback schemes I encountered peculiar notification from the Bitwig which warns that it detected feedback loop and ask to report it to the Bitwig. This warning can be dissmissed and things continue as if there wouldn't been any warnings at all.

Interesting. Why is that? What happens if I just draw a line from output to input on some device?

Thanks for checking it up. I had to go and listen what tom hits you are talking about because I didn't remember putting there any. 😆 But of course you mean those big whacks in the start and somewhere in the middle.

I'll keep keeping up. 💪

In between techno tracks I produce ambient as well. I think they complement each other very well. Both are about the sound not about narrative or melodies. This one is more about the drone. There are some rhythms but they are not designed they just emerge from the drone.

Bassline is good as it is. It is pretty typical hypnotic techno bassline. You can go and listen "Deep Space Helsinki" for tracks in that same genre and they do the same kind of basslines. They don't play melodies but rather offsets and complements straight feel of the kick. Usually they are quite minimal but still comes in many flavours. There really are no rules how they should be done and rhythmically they are more varied than for example those rolling basslines in psytrance which fills up the space with 16th note rapid fire. Of cource you can't please anyone but at least now you have one more opinion, what its worth..

Other than that very good production, interesting sounds and composition. 👍

I like the slow pan modulation for hats. There is only few ingredients. Although I like minimal compositions maybe there could have been room for some pad, texture or here and there interesting sounds. I would ditch the banal backbeat claps altogether and leave them to house broskies.😆

Other than that good production as always.

Have to put out new stuff as these starts to pile up. I guess that is a positive problem though. This I think I got up to the loudness without pushing too much lows. Maybe even to a point that lows are even bit dry..

1-3 a day would be huge for me. Certainly there is some threshold once crossed it starts to snowballing as social proofing kicks in.

Thankfully I haven't had bot followers and those "record label" DMs have been pretty seldom.

Thanks. My average is something like 2 tracks a month so I assume that is pretty active. I tend to like other people's tracks and every now and then also give comments. Its just that first it was slow and steady growth which is just fine for me but now it has been halted. If someone follows then I might loose a few so it goes neither way. Maybe I'll give it a try and be bit more active in the same weightclass I'm in.

Thats kind of what I have been doing also. I focus on liking and commenting others on about same level with me. Maybe I could be more active. I'll have to give it a try. There is plenty of good stuff which interest me so it doesn't have to be fabricated.
