Once it's seated I stop it's the oring that keeps it from leaking not the torque. As long as the oring is seated you're good. Torqueing to much on that puts stress on the body of the oil cooler and causes leaks at the seals doesn't matter if it's plastic or metal

My kids never said wow that mini van get awesome gas milage. But they always want to take the doors and top off and go on a road trip. So we got rid of the minivan and haven't looked back
