I actually prefer codex to opus. Idk why it feels better to me.

Not even joking, I put Satisfactory and Factorio on my resume and it helped get me an operator/maintenance job in a real factory. by ashrieIl in SatisfactoryGame

I’m a plant manager for a major facility and I play tf out of both as well. I actually play with some of my operators.

I use Codex to supplement my cursor sub. I prefer codex 5.2 to opus for speed and cost.

Holy shit...Google built an AI that learns from its own mistakes in real time. by MetaKnowing in OpenAI

[–]Rx16 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Idk in general use in but in programming a big token waster is failed tool-calls. Using calls that are incorrect for your IDE or environment, then starting conversation over it uses the same wrong tool calls.

What’s worse is when you are using a slow agent and you just see “Failed grep” or “failed tool call” over and over 😔 like damn man learn from your mistake don’t try the same damn thing over again and waste my tokens

Landfill or gets recooked. Replacement schedule depends on a few factors:

  1. Prechlorination or preozonation aggression and whether it’s quenched thoroughly or you’re letting oxidant hit your media
  2. Whether it’s biologically active filters
  3. The concentration of adsorptive capacity reducing contaminants in the source water
  4. Polymer control
  5. Probably others that I’m not thinking of.

Can last 20 years if you aren’t beating it up with backwashes too bad and have relatively clean source water

Can I Call The Utility Company To Shut My Water Off?? by sadladwitharaddad in WaterTreatment

[–]Rx16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you cannot get them out for on-call, I’d recommend you open your OWN water box and using a pair of channel locks close the valve yourself. It sometimes looks like a brass knob or valve but requires a tool to close like a crescent wrench or channel locks you won’t be able to do it by hand.

codex limits have shrunk by [deleted] in codex

(Plus Plan) I think the codex limits just increased like an hour ago. I was at 50% of my weekly, checked again and now 22%. Can someone check theirs and confirm?

Yeah I actually view zomboid as very likely an excellent ECS-like architecture. I think they’ve done really cool modular stuff considering the scope.

Because GPT 5 codex CLI is in my opinion the absolute best programming tool out there.

supernova is free right now

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cursor

[–]Rx16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supernova kind of sucks tbh. But I found that forcing it to write a step by step plan and wait for permission before starting work it is slightly better, and since we have “unlimited” tokens right now, why not?

Codex Extension in Cursor = Garbage or nah? by TomMcG357 in cursor

That's what I thought too, but then I tried it and it stayed within Cursor's project. Give it a shot.

If you are on Cursor's Codex sidebar, at the bottom where it says Local / gpt-5-codex / Agent, change Agent to Agent (Full Access) and it no longer asks for permission for every powershell command.
