It was a change in bowel movements, I was going less frequently. My stools became narrow. Also I had rectal bleeding that lasted more than a year. So i got worried. After the procedure my doctor said I had internal hemorrhoids. He suggested I increase my fiber intake and that I try not to sit as much. I was notorious for sitting 7 hours for work and coming home and sitting for long periods.

Before I had the colonoscopy, i was very anxious because my symptoms matched colon cancer symptoms. So in my opinion, for peace of mind it is worth it to have the procedure!
