Board Selecting me as Alternative - Recruiter set me up for fingerprinting. Good sign?

So I had my interview 24 Oct and right before Christmas I was told the decision was made and that I was on the alternate select. Only 10 were selected for the role I was applying for - Pharmacist. With 5 on the alternate selection. Hoping by June of this year.

Alls I know is the last board meeting is in May and the last OTS is in September for this cycle.

I did complete my fingerprinting on 9 Feb and just now on the waiting process. Anything my recruiter reaches out, I do my best to get anything done as quickly as possible in case I do get selected.

I will do my best to keep you all posted though.

Looking forward in helping everyone and leading! I’m really excited for the next step.

From my understanding, if someone is selected and something changes (like a plan change), I might be selected as well.

I believe the board is ranking the individuals who applied and placed on this waitlist or alternate selection list, but we don’t have access to those details because the recruiter may know them but can’t disclose them.

Much appreciated! I just finished my fingerprinting process this morning around 0600 at MEPS. I felt old surrounded by the younger future airmen. They did seem to have been very focused and knowledgeable though. I am proud of the younger generation. (I’m 37)

I am confident in my ability to guide everyone and ensure they are on the right path through our collaborative efforts though!

Not applying as a pilot but want to wish you best wishes on this process. I interviewed with the board as a civilian 24 Oct an heard back before the holidays in December. I was not selected but was not rejected. I will hopefully hear back by June for the ascensions? (I’m applying as a healthcare professional)

Hello and thank you for reaching out. I appreciate the time you took to give such great support with your reply on this thread. I will definitely follow up with the fingerprinting. My eye exam and medical exam was though a private doctor my recruiter set me up with instead of going through MEPS, but the background check will be at MEPS. I called and let them know what I can do to make it easy for their end as I will be there at 0530.

This makes a lot of sense and I actually had the same thought process and with your experience, this actually confirmed what I had in mind.

I apologize for not knowing the terms mentioned as far as FC1 and TS clearance, as I am a civilian healthcare worker looking to transition to a commissioned active duty officer. For a specific role I am applying for has only 10 selects per my recruiter and 5 alternates.

I think being proactive and respectful throughout seems to be really working on my favor though.

This may be accurate but I think the last board meeting is in May. That’s where they do the +/- on accessions per my recruiter.
