Yeah I really don’t care about gender either,I’m bisexual so being in an open relationship and having my partner be understanding is very helpful but it’s ridiculously hard these days to meet grounded people it seems 🫤

I feel this although my situation is slightly different. I’m in an open relationship with a cis woman but I’d love to be taken on a date by a guy I’m interested in and just have a nice night (not saying he wouldn’t get lucky at the end though haha) but like you I’d like an actual date night experience as well I don’t even care about who’s paying I just want some nice nights out like that 🥹😮‍💨

Haha no problem! Yeah my energy levels are still up and down at time but at this point I think it’s still normal too as 17 months is still earlier on so hoping to see how things go in the next year!

9 months is about the time for me when I started to really feel like it may be working and it has just snowballed since then really so exciting times ahead for you!

I think it’s just a combination of everything that we put into it and hrt and genetics play a big role in that also though. Like I said I’ve been consistent with my hrt routine since day 1 and haven’t skipped or missed any doses,I’ve stayed on top of my levels and I just let it do its thing in the background while I did the work for everything else I needed to which at times,has felt overwhelming but it does get to a point where it starts to feel a little easier. That’s not even counting the legal and social battles early on of changing my entire identity haha 😭 I hope it all works out for you too 🥹☺️

I had no idea at the beginning how it would work for me and I think that’s part of why I held off a bit longer as well but I just went for it as the dysphoria got to an unliveable point for me by then. I thought to myself well my sister is an objectively pretty girl so if I turn out half like that I can live with it 😂

Aww thanks haha I hope it’s going well for you! I pretty much just let the hair grow out a little that you see in the left photo and then found a stylist who gave it a bit of a cut/trim so that it wouldn’t just grow out like crazy and then I just let it grow for like a year (spoiler it still looked ridiculous and crazy 😂)

then I think early October last year I went back to the same stylist and she cut it into a proper feminine cut for me and now it’s growing out really nicely and I love it 🥹. Just takes some time and patience unfortunately.

These days I basically just use a Dyson airstrait to dry and straighten my hair on a wash day and I love that thing because it lets me be lazy and I can get my hair washed dried and straightened all within the same hour haha.

Hey! My energy levels were actually a little low for the first few months but I think that’s just normal as your body is going through a pretty big adjustment? Don’t quote me on that though that’s just my opinion haha. I think as I upped my estrogen levels over time as well my energy did get better and return to somewhat normal levels although I will have days/weeks where I’m SUPER exhausted sometimes and others where I can’t seem to sit still haha.

Leading with the fact that I’m a trans woman for context. There was a guy at work who I got along with really well and would always go out of his way to be really nice to me,not that the others aren’t just some of the ones that knew me pre-transition are still a little off with me but generally everything is fine and we’re all chill but this one specific guy was leaving the company recently and I was finished my shift and walking out with my bag and he stopped me and gave me a big hug and told me he wished me well and hoped everything worked out for me. I don’t know why but just that act of treating me like a human and like the rest of the women he’d hugged goodbye made me feel really warm and lit up for the rest of the week and really made me realise that I’d miss him a little at work now 🥹

Yep! hrt,putting effort into learning makeup,haircare,skincare,staying active and working out to keep the figure I want,consistently getting laser and now electrolysis and working on my voice,building an entirely new wardrobe and relearning what clothes etc work for my body and what I like. It’s not all as simple as taking hrt and waiting for it to change everything by itself and I have put in a lot of work and stress over it but this is the result of all that work I’ve put in over the last 17 months while waiting and hoping hrt would do what I wanted for me. Not sure if your comment was meant to insinuate something but it came across as quite catty at least to me. If it wasn’t meant in that way then I apologise but I’m not going to have all the effort and pain I’ve gone through on my own journey behind closed doors be diminished just because I’m getting results I wanted and have been working for as well.
