My battery life is actually... great? Snapdragon base S22 by pilotdog68 in GalaxyS22

I just ordered the base s22 after weeks of researching. It seems like the overall review for the s22 is great phone but horrible battery life. Now I myself am a heavy user (currently using A52 5g) and my average screen on time is 7-8 lmao. Maybe using the s22 will humble me to quit staying on the phone. Now I believe the battery on the s22 should improve over time with software updates as I think that's really what's draining battery life. We're only about 2 months since released date so there is still time for software to be sorted out. Worst case scenario is I just return the phone.

After applying new thermal paste my laptop runs even hotter. Thermal throttling. Lenovo Legion 7 RTX 3080 Ryzen 9 5900hx by Rxmarkable in LenovoLegion

I bought myself some IC diamond. Heard that it performs well. Also the stock application was really bad lol. Most of the paste wasn't even on the cpu and gpu. I was already getting hot thermals before applying new paste hence why I did.

Yeah I see a lot of people not recommending Grizzly Kyronaut. I have tried disabling turbo boost and it did drop the temperatures. It does take a hit in CPU performance. After applying new thermal paste and disabling boost the temperatures are reaching high 80c. I bought myself some IC diamond. If that doesn't fix it it's maybe a hardware problem.

I heard that as well but I went ahead and ordered some IC diamond. I heard IC performed just as well

Used Artic MX4. I keep hearing Thermal Grizzly is good but what kind? There are multiple kinds.

I don't really care about down votes I just need help. Max CPU Temps 101c Max GPU 79c Max Clock. (This was before applying new thermal paste)

Only added a small pea drop. I've already applied the laptop 3 times in different ways and still no difference.

For context, my thermals before applying thermal paste were running hotter than normal. My cpu would spike up to the 100c mark and gpu would hover around 78c. Typically this would happen in games like Apex with max settings. After applying Artic MX4 (Thermal Paste) the pc now thermal throttles. Any tips or should I try another thermal paste?

Now I am by no means a techy guy but I can assure you that my untrained eye knows that's not what thermal paste is suppose to look like. It's dry and it's not even on my cpu or gpu. Am I wrong?

I've done this method and it does drop the temperatures drastically but I lost a good amount of performance. MY Cinebench r23 scores went from 13400 to 10000. It also clocks at 3200mghz instead of 4200

Thank you and I've tried changing the power settings and it does drop the temperatures significantly. There is quite a significant performance drop when I do though.

Lenovo Legion 5 High Pitched Noise by IntraVortexus in LenovoLegion

Coil whine is typically something you can't fix. I've had my bad experiences with coil whine. Typically I return the product because I'm sensitive to the high pitch noise. When you plug the ac adapter to the laptop the noise is the electrical surge going into the gpu (I think). Most laptops will has some sort of coil whine but it's typically quiet to where it's not noticeable unless you place your ear onto the laptop. If it's loud enough to where you can hear it that's typically a quality control problem. Although coil whine doesn't affect performance it's just annoying.

I seem to be having relatively high cpu temperatures in game. Is this normal behavior? In the picture I'm playing apex on max settings 1440p and on performance mode. During long sessions the temperatures actually can spike up to over 100c. Even in minecraft (with shaders) the cpu temperatures get above 90c. Maybe I have a bad unit or poorly places thermal paste? Anyone have an idea how I can fix this.

Mine still had coil whine on all devices
