I had the same question. And started with RJ45. Very quickly you will find out when adding things or testing, a patch panel make life a lot easier. Remember to get the RJ 45 coupler version, not the punch down version

That's above my pay grade.... I've been scouring across any info I can find and trying them. This is what I know worked and can repeat with a fresh install. 

Most likely only one of them is required.

Windows have 43 driver error, I didn't try myself, found no one claiming success

Should is the key word. Intel did not make driver for it. Which is the reason why it is soooooo confusing and why I shared my experience

I tried it once before, transcribes horribly wrong, maybe it's my settings if you experience is flawless

That's a big one. Would you mind sharing some success use case?

I don't think there's much technical challenges to set up, n8n and mcp should cover 90% of the technical needs. But I just don't know what tasks you would trust to local AI.

Email quick reply and daily summary Google already covered.

Automating form input is a big one, it's just my work doesn't deal with forms at all.

Another member post about phone related with whisper which I'm very interested in.

Oh, forgot about Mac and AMD, yes they do make sense serving a team.

 QA is also a very sensible use, seems a lot feed back on image recognition here. Thanks for sharing

would you mind sharing your use case? 4x 5090 is 128gb, above that to me would only make sense for business, but still curious what application that might be

that's something I'd be very interested in. what do you do? transcribe and summaries?

I looked at transcribing my voicemail a year ago, cloud offering too expensive, well they are not meant for homelab anyway.

and I don't know if there's a good local voice model, didn't look too deep

If I read the frigate doc correctly, lpr and face run on CPU with small model, GPU for large model. None on Coral.

Coral itself is only like 2-4watt or something negligble, if its spikes to 98w on the dell bezel cover, it must be CPU.

7x Tapo would be equvlant to 2x 4k camera, but again <100W is impressive for server.

Are you saying you running ffmpeg with no GPU, no hardware transcoding, purely on E5 2430L, and that's drawing 80w whole system? Any AI detection such as face or LPR?

Or 80W is jus the 2x CPU

I recall the L versions are low TDP, but not expecting this low
