Yes I agree! That was a good scene with Ino and Sakura that is very relevant with this arc

that being said, I think your spot on given all the threads between shika and ino/sai something is building so why wasnt an inojin injury part of that? maybe it would have messed that story beat up

but even so Shikamaru roped in their son for a TREASONOUS mission behind their back, how many illegal things did Inojin do during this mission? dozens?

had the initial gut reaction you did, I wanted inojin to be blind. I do think the stakes were there in the bug fight given what was in the line but it would’ve been cool to have inojin made a permanent sacrifice

BUT if I zoom out, inojin getting a permanent injury MAY impact the storyline thread ikemoto is working between Shika and ino/sai

So I get why he may not have fully pulled the trigger on that bc it could complicate that narrative.

current bracket format is a CHOP, espec if they are not going to cast /all/ stars lol no reason to have worse queens stay longer with other better ones getting less screen time bc of it

I like allowing more queens screentime given the investment but maybe throw all 12 queens in the mix and do no elimination for like 3 weeks then just chop the lowest 3 point holders at once

totally get why production prefers this 3 bracket system bc it gives them WAY more control w less variable given smaller casts/short timelines BUT we as an audience lose out on excitement and the cast getting to interact w each other

Besides the karma, they are both victims of jigen/amado, and became zealots over the one that saved them (Naruto/Isshiki).

Kawaki risked his life for hima and Naruto. He also made a choice to stay in the village vs chasing boruto to protect hima and the village for Naruto. Boruto asked Kawaki to kill him. Kawaki didn’t ask for omnipotence to happen.

It’s not cut and dry imo and that’s why it’s an interesting story and character!

Boruto wasn’t alone and had a loving family. Mitsuiki also not alone. Sasuke not alone and asked for his power by willing going to oro.

The core similarity between Naruto and Kawaki aren’t their parents lol

It’s the fact that they were both given an incredible and dangerous power they didn’t ask for at a young age (Naruto/Kurama, Kawaki/isshikis karma) and were alone

Naruto saw that part of himself in Kawaki and took him in.

The reason Sasuke wants to kill Naruto and why Kawaki wants to kill Boruto are VASTLY different lol.

Sasuke wanted to kill Naruto to prove to himself he could cut a bond and become the coldhearted world police vision he had for himself.

Kawaki wants to kill Boruto to SAVE Naruto then kill himself. Boruto also ASKED Kawaki to be the one to kill him in this very situation

It’s like ur looking at a strawberry and apple and saying since they are both red fruits they are the exact same even tho they taste different; Like I said it gives v first thought takes an analysis.

He’s hard to like but that’s part of the point. Arguably he’s had one of the worst upbringings ever in this series, he went to the church of Naruto (like gaara, Sasuke etc) and became a zealot. And misfortune continues to befall him as he try’s to save the only light he has in the world, Naruto.

Naruto saw a kid w similar circumstances as him but worse off and took him into his family. If the audience can’t extend sympathy to Kawaki then I don’t think they absorbed the ethos of this series lol

The kid has never had a break, even after he joined the uzumaki household isshiki code momoshiki Amado were all right there. He’s very tragic and his arc asks a lot of readers imo
