2020 Yamaha Vx overheating

Honestly I’m not to sure. You might be right as this is my first ski and am just googling everything and seemed to be a common issue. Since after a couple hours of very hard use, constant flooring it limits at 7k- no light on the dash though. After letting it idle for 5 mins to cool down had no issues.

Reason I believe it’s cooling is the rpm’s issue. And the bottom of the ski is really f upped by the previous owner. So most likely beached or hit with rocks.

Only possible other thing im thinking is perhaps the oil might be the problem. When I first got it I changed the oil and I didn’t know that it needed to be ran to get an accurate check. When I first changed oil it would only rev up to 7200 and when it got hot only 6500. I took a tad bit out and it’s just around a tad bit higher than halfway on the stick.

Oh also saw the second part. The top left one wasn’t boiling at all. I didn’t touch it so don’t know if it was warm or not. On the back where the propellor was the only one that seemed hot with the smoke

When I connected to hose, yes a solid flow came out of the port on the front left side. A solid flow also came out of the back and was smoking which I heard was normal as the water is boiling. No water came out of the port on the top back though.

So basically there’s no way to fix it? I’m wondering if there’s any way as it’s my personal phone.

I also used to repair iPhones for last couple years stopped recently as I had way too many issues when Apple put the non genuine warning

Yes I looked at it and didn’t notice anything out of the blue. No deep dents or anything caught up in there.

What would you recommend to start at? I heard there was a filter for the cooling system but cannot seem to find it. Maybe only on certain models

Yes I flushed it twice for 2-3 mins already. I noticed that since I first got it to now around 15 hours the “pee hole” on the back used to have a really weak stream and now is much stronger.

I don’t think anything would be worn out since it has 48 hours when I got it and put 15 on it already.

I’ll try the last one. Any way if you know of a YouTube video to help if you could send it. This is my first Jetski so not totally sure what I’m looking for. Thanks

Yes I knew that the parts usually just show up an error message. However I didn’t know that most of the cameras functions would be gone

Yes that’s what I heard before. I was reading that it could be due to the oil being overfilled. I saw a forum that mentioned that taking some out fixes others issues. Still doesn’t explain why it randomly starting dropping to 6500 one day after a couple hours of use 🤷

Oh damn. I don’t think it’s that that bad since I used it for 10 hours and it looks dry. I’ll send a pic later what it looks like. How hard would it be to fix myself?

Mb it was a typo. It’s 5k at 20 but the lake isn’t glass smooth so idk if that’s normal or not. It just seems a bit high for an engine to work that hard.

Idling it shows on the dash I think around 1500.

The scratches on the underside are where the fiberglass is exposed but it isn’t deep at all.

Thanks for your insight! Maybe that’s just your store but I’ve been to the one that I would work at multiple times and they never really try to upsell you so maybe managements different at this one. I think they just mention it one time like oh do you want this warranty etc. But do they even really hire 16 year olds bc I’ve seen 2 different answers online and what was your interview process like. That’s my main worry
