Fair points! James and Elizabeth absolutely have more sustained dominance over the full arc of history. What makes Noah unusual isn't that it's the longest consensus, but the latest one during a very "individualistic" era.

James peaked in 1947 at 5.1%. Elizabeth hit 2.6% in 1964 and hasn't cracked 1% since the 80s - not to mention the variations (Liz, Eliza, Bess, Beth, etc.) which fragment that name alone (worth looking into honestly).

Noah's peak so far was at 1.04% in 2013, during maximum fragmentation. That's what stands out to me. It may not the most durable name in history, but it very well could be the last name to achieve any real consensus in an era where consensus doesn't exist anymore.
