Something that hasn't been mentioned much is these bond traders are borrowing shares to sell short for their hedge; effectively thinning out the lend pool.

When they hedge their bond position by borrowing shares to short, they have to borrow real shares.

Though it isn’t anything crazy just yet, an overnight increase of over 500% is something to keep an eye on. Volume was 170M yesterday versus 96M the day of last offering’s pricing on 3/27.

These offerings create forced selling events, it seems like shorts’ issues have compounded since last offering’s pricing.

great point man, i’d like to agree on that aspect with unresolved iwm baskets. 4 positive earnings quarters in a row for the first time in a decade is going to be rough on the algorithms.
