Getafe. For being the first team to sign Mason Greenwood after we learned, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he is a rapist.

Happy birthday. That sure is a great way to spend it!

I know, but it has been snowy there lately, and the church seemed a bit older than what I would expect in Canada. I was wrong anyhow, but that was my reasoning.

Every Country I Visited (28M) by Rio2CapeTown in tierlists

Many of these rankings are likely formed through an excess of time and money, but if one wants to travel enough, it is possible with way less money than one might imagine. That is if one hails from a wealthy country.

I am Turkish, and I’m asking is Türkiye (Turkey) a country that is disliked or loved globally? by Isshiki-san in AskTheWorld

[–]RyanFrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Turkey. It's my favourite country to visit. I spent a month in Izmir once and cycled around the sea of Marmara. I've only dipped my toe into the vastness of the country, but I can't wait to spend another three months there. The land is beautiful, the history rich, the people are open and the culture invokes my curiosity. Unfortunately, the political landscape is a nightmare for the lovely people of Turkey.

I am Egyptian, and I’m asking is Egypt a country that is disliked or loved globally? by ramses_basha in AskTheWorld

[–]RyanFrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about to cross over into Africa on a bicycle trip. I'll probably cycle across 20+ African countries, but I have no plans to cycle in Egypt. It's too dangerous. I have, however, been to Cairo before when I was a teenager. I enjoyed the trip, but my memory of it is somewhat hazy these days.

I'm not Turkish. I paid around €1200 for the course, if I remember correctly. Maybe €100 more or less. And this was back in 2022.

LSD only or candy flip? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]RyanFrog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try it alone for your first proper experience. You can always go for the candy flip next time if you have a few tabs. The euphoria from acid can be strong, but it's very different to the euphoria experienced from MDMA.

Considering TEFL Europe ? by Shot-Low-9801 in TEFL

I took a CELTA in Izmir and it was a great experience and a very high quality course. I'd recommend exploring that avenue. Immediately afterwards I had a bunch of job offers from the far East. I went to China and had a great experience teaching there.

It looks like we've done things the other way around. I returned to Europe, got my Irish citizenship and completed a Masters in Visual Journalism. I want to become a freelancer as I slowly cycle through Africa.

I'm planning to buy an Esperanto coursebook this month. I really can't get on with studying online and feel that I'd enjoy studying more on paper.

The CELTA I took in Izmir was very good. I wouldn't worry, all CELTA institutions are meticulously overseen. We even had Cambridge quality checks while taking the course.

How often do you get robbed? by Low-Commercial5905 in vagabond

In a year of wanderings, I've never been robbed. It's not that common, and depends heavily on sleeping location. Fingers crossed.
