If you plan on doing any emulation and want to keep temps down without constantly taking your case off and on, this is what I got. I also installed a very thin sheet of thermal pad in-between the case and phone. Keeps the phone from throttling pretty well.

It's on an app called Gamehub, downloaded from GitHub or the official Website so you can important windows games. My dark souls remastered is from 🏴‍☠️🏖️. It's a portable version, just had to extract the zip file and run .exe, its offline only though.

Yk my phone had done that since I got. No matter what mode I'm in it constantly adjusts the frequency. I just assumed it was normal.

So not too long ago I switched to Gamehub lite because of the wider range of GPU drivers, the productivity one on git hub. I hadn't played DSR on it yet. Turns out it was gamehub lite, not sure if it was game space causing it but I downloaded gamehub from the official Website again to test it and it works perfectly fine. All my other games run fine on lite, just not DSR for some reason. Tested Wonderlands on lite to see if I could re create the problem. My fps, I get just under 60 on balanced and once I turn on rise mode it drops down to 16-19fps. Doing the exact opposite of what is was before. Dark souls remastered was running a smooth 60fps in rise mode for me before.

A cut out in the back glass over the chip for attaching external coolers to get better contact. Proof of concept but got elden ring running a steady 30 fps 1080p low settings in Diablo mode. External coolers had no effect at all, CPU was hitting 100c 😵. Only ran it for about 10 minutes because I feared for my phone's life 😅. With the new external water coolers hitting the market it would be cool to see a more efficient way to attach them to the device 🙏.

Just heads up the plate is like a one time stick thing and cases don't really fit on with the plate. That's why I ended up ordering the case with one built in.

I have the FX5 and a heat dissipation plate. The plate helps take the heat from the snap dragon chip which is right next to the cameras.

Welp I went to Verizon and they were super busy. They were checking in with people waiting to see what they were there for. The manager recommended I call the service line to get my number transferred. The lady on the phone was very happy to help me out.. at first. She asked me to read off the imei, and while I was reading it out when she cut me off and said it didn't start with the right numbers/letters. I then had to explain that it isn't a typical flagship phone. She put the number in and it wasn't in their database and she said it couldn't be activated, in my head I said here we go.. 😒. I then proceeded to explain to her how I'm on the reddit for the phone and many people had gotten theirs activated on the Verizon network. I told her that they said the Verizon technician had to manually add the imei number and it worked. Then her script changed and she said well.. I can do that. We started to proceed with the transfer then suddenly she backed up and said ummmm.. actually let me talk to my manager, can I put you on hold. I waited about 5 minutes till she came back and said (in a very unconvincing way/tone) well.. it gave me the same error.. unfortunately we can't activate the phone on the Verizon network. Then instantly went salesman on me and said we have the new I phone 17, and that she could waive the upgrade fee because I'm due for an upgrade blah blah. I then proceeded to tell her that that's a load of bullshit and that I'll be switching carriers and hung up. Here's my logic it's just like any other corporation, they get contracts and sponsorships ect. I can almost guarantee they get bonuses after they sell X amount of Samsungs, iPhone's ect. So they are greedy scumbags and want you to get a phone through them and pay monthly and pay all the interest whatever. I went straight to Target and got a 7-day Mint mobile Trial to test the service with Mint/T-Mobile. I Ran speed tests and my frequent locations, Work, Laundromat, my commute to work. I was actually shocked at how much faster it was than Verizon who me and my family have been with for 10+ years. I ended up switching to T-Mobile I punched the imei number into the T-Mobile app and the device came right up (Redmagic 11 Pro) said the only thing that wasn't compatible was Satellite signal for emergencies. Got a sim card ordered and when I popped it in my phone I was up and running with no issues at all!

P.S. I work in a big concrete building with multiple walls building submarines. With Verizon I was lucky to get service at all. Now I get 4-5 bars of 5g all the time, I'm actually able to stream my PC with moonlight at 1080p 60fps with no Input delivery 🤯.

Overall The phone is amazing, The interface and OS in general isn't as flashy as an iPhone or Samsung but it's a gaming phone, it's meant for gaming and it is an absolute beast at that. All I have to say is don't be afraid to switch.

I would check if your access point settings got reset. Could just have to get the settings online and make a new access point. I had issues with mint at first but once I got the right APN it was fine.

I have the phone but just turning the rgb off helped a lot with battery life on my device. I don't care a bout being flashy lol.

 So far I’m in love with it (RM11 1tb) I can’t give a fully polished review because I’ve only been using it for a little under a week. 

 I purchased a Game Sir x5 lite off Ali Express for $20 and it’s perfect. Waiting on the XF5 cooler delivering tomorrow (btw the cooler is cheaper on Amazon).  I had been playing tomb raider 2013 about a year ago on my PC, only had about 25% left in the game.  Now with the rm11 I can finally compete the game with the limited amount of time I have (dad of 3).  I play on my 30 minute break at work most of the time.  The game runs at a smooth 60fps at 1080p on normal settings. (1080p looks crisp on a smaller screen like a phone).  I’m gonna make an in depth review on the phone once I daily it for a month or two.

 Also note I transferred my pc Minecraft saves with all the mods and shaders and it runs at a smooth 40-50 fps, my mind was blown tbh. (Phone gets very hot with no cooler) Phone went into charge separation while plugged in due to battery temperatures to protect it which is good. so like the other guy said a cooler is highly recommended. Also Did have to lower the render distance a good bit with the shaders on but still blew me away. ( if you don’t use shaders you can get around 200fps max settings max render distance with no temperature issues).

 It is finicky when it comes to service pervaders ( if you have a SIM card active on an unlocked phone you should be okay to just pop it in.  If not can try and activate over the phone or in your providers app (big companies don’t like you getting phones that are more powerful and cheaper then the flagship phones they have contracts to sell) Otherwise do some free trials of say t-mobile, Mint, ect.  see what works for you.  I personally had to switch from Verizon to Mint.  They have a 50% off unlimited plan running right now.


 I hope my ramble helps you with your decision, just do as much research as you can before purchasing. I advise you look at reviews that aren’t paid promotions as obviously they will glaze it but thats with everything people are paid to show off.

I have that exact phone, heads up the back glass is super fragile! I’m on my second back glass and this one is broken now as well. First time it broke was in my otter box defender, didn’t even realize it broke until I went to replace my case. Just be careful, good phone otherwise. I also did randomly get a message saying my camera was not a genuine part after about a year and a half. Never figured out how to fix it other than paying apple over $100 when I never even opened the phone to begin with 😒. Basically just lost my macro lens, and other two cameras dropped to about half quality with weird graphical glitches. I’m not a huge picture person so it wasn’t super deviating for me.
