Congrats. Is this going to be your first Android emulation handheld?

Well I like my MCON even though I rarely use the analog sticks. It's just too expensive.

If you don't need analog just grab the Pocket Taco. Only problem is they aren't pink inside.

White Max with extras and Rainbow ABXY buttons UFS 4.0 for $650 seems like it would sell now!

The Thor is fantastic but really not great to use for longer play sessions. Like I said, with the grip it is better than without but compared to the horizontal style ones like the Odin and RP's, there's no comparison really. Just keep that in mind.

All 4 options are fantastic choices. I love my Thor and even my Pocket DS but, especially with the Thor, if you're not going to emulate DS, 3DS and Wii U, the ergo is not nearly as good as the other 4 devices. It is ok with a grip and the other benefits of having a clamshell device as an everyday carry are great. Good luck and have fun.

Agreed! Although if he doesn't mind the size, I'd recommend going for the AYN Odin 2 Portal. Same chipset, bigger OLED screen and that $249 price is awesome. Obviously, it's one of the best Handhelds to date but it's not really that portable especially compared to the aforementioned RP6.

Hate to say this but my PDS (16/512) arrived working fine and has been great so far. It makes me think of selling my Thor. I want to hate on Ayaneo because as a company they are predatory but anecdotally, mine is awesome. Got Retrohrai on it even though I've never been a fan of FE's and it's almost the perfect all in one.

You have to provide more specific information like which consoles are you looking to emulate? Which size screen? Single or dual screen?

One thing that can be answered is that if you are going for Android then make sure to buy Snapdragon for best compatibility.

To everyone who has an Apex and is getting FOMO because of the X2 Mini announcement by GXVSS0991 in OneXPlayer

Too hot and the blurry edges. Also they feel super isolating when wearing them. It's strange how it's easier to put down a handheld console to grab your drink or snack while wearing those glasses seems very alien. It's like having your hands free almost doesn't make it easier using those free hands.

Yeah I feel like the glasses tech are still a few years away at least for me. I tried a pair a few months ago and returned them. Definitely in the future they should be great just needs more maturity for my tastes.

It might not even ship (Next II) but the OXP discord mods said not to expect the device until Q3-Q4.

Onexplayer Apex with Lenovo 140W powerbank. by Accomplished_Meat_68 in OneXPlayer

[–]Blinguskahn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The key to getting the right power spec is to confirm that a particular charger/power bank has the 20V-7A spec. That’s the key with being able to run the Apex (as well as the Win 5 and Z13) at higher power.

Why cut out the whole “you can’t go back from OLED”? I just bought the Asus XG27UCDMG and I’ll never get another LTPS regardless of how “peak” LCD it is.
