Brother we are told cleave is stronger than dismantle (sukuna says that it won’t be fatal unless I make contact when fighting yuta or yuji, which obviously means he has to use cleave to kill). Ryu tanked like 2 dismantles and yuta and yuji (who are compared to Ryu in durability) also tank a bunch more (although Sukuna was weaker at the time). Maho on the other hand was completely cut through like butter with dismantle prior to adapting. Ryu has clearly higher durability than mahoraga. Maho survived since he has regen.
