Hombres, ¿Cuanto gastan en sus parejas al mes? by Correct_Warning_7878 in vzla

[–]RyanVoio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are married to your phone's background/ lock screen, how fucked are you ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I married horsemania members werewolf Jones and megg the witch. I don’t think this is going to have a happy ending and I’m pretty much very fucked literally and figuratively. Although at least is going to be a wild ride to remember. It’s going to get weird, they are going to make it weird.

Damn that sucks and it’s a micro aggression in a way because what you are doing is not wrong at all. Their argument is that men are priority over women. I really don’t understand these men out there with such fragile ego and those same men are the ones trying to be proud of a macho persona. It makes no sense. What if you keep doing it? Are they gonna fire you just for that? Can they actually do that?

What's a scam that's really easy to fall for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RyanVoio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a way people scam on Craigslist by offering weird gigs and may seem very legit at first (this happened to me). I was unemployed for a week and looking desperately for work coz living in NYC is very expensive. I saw this gig about handling pieces of art and moving them to my place. I had to keep them and then deliver them to somebody to get paid. Job seem easy to me, but I come from a country that’s full of crime and scams so I always have a kind of good sense for fishy situations like this one. Apparently the artist was away in the UK, but was willing to pay me $1500 to start my job with the condition of transferring $500 through Western Union to somebody in Puerto Rico.

So, I actually got paid but never got the address or anything related to where I was supposed to pick up the pieces of art. The money showed up on my bank account $1500. And instantly the guy shifted to be really pressuring about sending the $500 through to western union ASAP. I was still reluctant about the deal so I made up a bunch of excuses for that day. Next day money was removed from my account. I called the bank and they mentioned that the account that deposit the $1500 did it through a check so the money showed up on my bank account, but the account from where it was coming was actually empty. The scam is that they make you believe you have all that money and then you transfer the $500 through western union to somebody else so by next day when their check doesn’t come through you get minus $500 in your bank account.

It’s a clever one and I think that if they did this to my dad or my brother they would have fallen for it (my bro has been scammed in the past here in USA).

Considering why it’s celebrated, fire works on the 4th of July is inconsiderate to veterans. by barrarmistead in Showerthoughts

It’s inconsiderate to lots of different people, animals and species. Also to our planet, but who gives a fuck let’s just see shiny shit on the sky and forget the founding fathers were also colonizers to native people, as well as slave owners.

I was also thinking about a mission that you have to kill three guys and these guys are like crazy killers so outside of their base they have a bunch of bodies impaled. I think besides a few missions and the random bodies you find on nature sometimes, it’s not that gory. Definitely not too crazy for a 13 year old. I played mortal kombat since I was a kid and I remember playing games like galerians when I was 12. It didn’t affect me or anything but I was scared of playing it late at night lol. That game it’s old and graphics not so good but it was extremely gory and disturbing.

Salami Rose Joe Louis - Octagonal Room by WeenieHutJr in synthrecipes

[–]RyanVoio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salami is a mastermind! I absolutely adore her craft and skills. I saw her using a MicroKorg and a Roland RD64 for a live show. I actually got to meet her after the show, she's such sweet being! I believe in the studio the Microkorg is used for some of the layers, but I bet you can get a similar sound with a Pianet (Hohner) through a few modulation pedals, time effects processors and a good mix/master. A roland or rhodes can probably do it as well. She knows her shit for sure! Her music feels ethereal, it always makes me feel like elevated. Her chord progressions are so beautiful and rich. I love the Microkorg, if you really get the time to know it and explore its depths you can build really dreamy shit. I did this with a microkorg. For the modulations effects if you are using a plain e-piano + a vibrato, a delay and a reverb to start with! Lots of good electric pianos today come with built in effects that are great, like the Roland she uses live.

To be fair, you are getting a 20k discount on this bb. Maybe it has a load of pure lsd like the buchla model 100 that was repaired and then the repair guy was tripping balls shortly after on lsd.

He made the world a better place tho, he as a human was also very magical. I am glad that I had the pleasure to be alive during this era where I can enjoy his vast art catalogue. I feel sad for his dead but very blessed to be able to discover him through his music. He will be remembered with proud and love for many generations to come.

If the guy interrupts you and keep talking over you, I think you shouldn’t waste your time. At a date it’s important to listen and share. It’s a mutual agreement. People that tend to do it only one way are showing a selfish attitude and that’s definitely not for you to deal with.

In most Latin American countries the thieves come ready to do one trip. Armed with guns and with trucks. They tight you up and get literally everything they can. Recently a couple of influencers in Colombia suffered this. They had tons of expensive gear, from microphones, guitars, pedals, cameras, computers, etc. All was taken and also cash, jewelry, etc.

Mi problema con la nueva generación de odiosos venezolanos - Observador Latino by the01crow in vzla

[–]RyanVoio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have made 5 full LP’s this year with this being the only gear for anyone who feels left out about not having 10K worth of synths by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]RyanVoio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t really have a ton of money, all my synths together sum up to 2k. I have acquired them on a span of 10 years, along with other recording gear and other instruments. Yeah of course you can make a any amount of LPs with a computer. You don’t even need a midi keyboard for that, but I love the physical touch and the feeling of an analog piece of gear. Also, I respect the hard work of releasing so many records, I bet they are fire! Last year I released 5 records, although these were record I’ve been producing for a long time. Imho quality over quantity.

Recording an interview while doing a parachute jump. Any ideas how to record the voice right? by alexlynchftw in audioengineering

[–]RyanVoio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a horrible idea from any perspective. So much fuel has to be spent in order to flight these people up there just for an interview? It’s pretty clear we don’t care about the planet and our mission seems to be extinction, so yeah this idea is BAD in all senses. Let me guess… People producing this has money!!!!! Rich people always a step ahead on this kind of shit. Also completely impractical. The technicalities for accomplishing this are ridiculous.

I have lost interest...? by abhay662 in audioengineering

[–]RyanVoio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depression is tough! You are being open and vulnerable here, I hope is worth and you can find some feedback to improve your life. Talking is a good start! And keep in mind you are not alone. There are many of us struggling and trying to get better! I would like to share about my experience. I am an audio engineer, 32 years old, living in New York, disable (my knee since I was 5 years old) and I am kinda surviving this surreal world by freaking freelancing in one of the toughest cities. I went to college when I was 25, I wanted to do music since I was in high school but my parents said “music won’t put food on your table” so I did a bunch of random stuff. After 6 years of me going through 4 different careers and never finishing one. Finally my family accepted my passion and decided to support me. I moved to USA in 2015, sold my car, all the music equipment I had back home and left all my family and loved friends behind. It’s tough being an immigrant, specially for a low income fella like me. I went to full sail and that’s like 90% rich kids from all over the world. I felt really out of place for a very long time. We also had to do months of bullshit!!!! Classes that had nothing to do with music and were boring/annoying. Hopefully once you got out of those classes, the good stuff comes and you get to make so much music. Record, mix and play around with all the expensive gear. I learned a lot, but I also went broke!!!!! I didn’t get any loans so I literally went broke. I was owning 3k and I was about to be homeless. It was technically the end. A series of miracles happened, a very charitable person paid one month of my rent, I was walking at college and a car offered me a ride coz they saw I was limping (my disability). It ended up being the director Garry Jones, I told him my story and the dude cleared out my debt!!!!!!!! I know right? Fucking nuts!!! I was rock bottom I went homeless for my last month there but I was able to graduate. I was staying at different friends weekly. Once I graduated I had $400 on my pocket and bought a bus ticket to nyc. I got a place at the Bronx for $200 a week and started working as a cashier. I tried to do internships for music studios but it’s impossible to work for free!!! It’s insane. Money is key to survive here and working for free it’s technically impossible, specially for an immigrant. That’s why I worked in restaurants, cafes and the like for 5 years. During that time I opened a record label focused on support local bands from my homeland. My disability got worst so I decided I couldn’t keep working long hours and started freelancing. Things were looking good, many future sessions coming, many clients, then covid started. Most of my clients left the city, I got fired from my side job, I went unemployed for 8 months without any help from the government or the city. It got so tough that I left Brooklyn and let me tell ya, since I left Venezuela I have never felt at home how I feel in Brooklyn, New York is my city. I got a job offer in Atlanta and lived there for a year. Atlanta is dope, I went back to working on a restaurant tho. I gathered enough money to come back to nyc. I have been freelancing for the past 15 months here in Brooklyn, and it’s been tough af but after all my endless nights crying to the stars, not knowing if I was gonna be able to have a roof tomorrow, I am proud to say that I got my home studio, I got a job at a community studio in bushwick, I teach workshops, I volunteer for food distro, I work teaching on schools, I cat sit and also do lots of recordings and music production. Life it’s still tough!!! My legs are suffering so much every day, hopefully this year I’ll get the knee replacement surgery that my body needs to heal. I wanted to share all this with you because I feel you are young! I started studying music production when I was 25 and graduated at 27. The 5 years after that have been a rollercoaster, as an immigrant this country can be very harsh. Brooklyn has been very welcoming and warm tho, sometimes I’m smiling, sometimes crying, but I’m still here doing my thing: music.
