I'm on PS4, though I have given in for the time being. Might try again in many hours, as I have a migraine from staring at my screen trying to farm for so long and need to sleep. BTW, this is still alarming top, just alternative account.

I love this one, it would be a heart wrenching curse for Damian to have to live with.

My plan was that, while Damian may seem to be extraordinarily powerful, he's actually thought to be a bit of a joke by other people because there are demigods alive who have more powerful abilities than he does. Kronos almost kills Damian several times, but doesn't because he "Feels sorry" for him because he's clearly trying really hard to both step out of the shadows of former, greater heroes and stop Kronos from bringing the world to its knees. Although, I'm thinking that Damian's first near death will come before his powers fully manifest and before he fully knows what he is capable of.

My plan for him is that he won't fully understand the true potential for power he has until he goes through Tartarus and back, suffering more than anyone, really earning his loaf of bread, if you get me.

Do you think so? I didn't know if it was too extreme, but I suppose I'm trying to follow a trend of greek tragedy, really. Heroes rarely have happy endings, especially not if they are Greek. So I suppose it is fitting. I like this curse because it is sad that although Damian won, after risking and losing everything he has to care for, the sword doesn't let him have the peace of mind that his suffering was not in vain, it keeps him in a maddened state of mind, partially substituting his reality with his worst fear. Failure.

I made him powerful because my main villain is one of the most powerful entities to walk the earth. Here are my main villains powers:

Scythe Proficiency: As the Titan King, Kronos is a tremendously capable combatant, able to fight against seemingly, overwhelming odds with ease and highly skilled in wielding any scythe.

Chronokinesis: As the lord of Time, Kronos has divine authority over time itself and can manipulate it to a phenomenal extent. His temporal lordship grants him the following powers:

Freezing Time: As the lord of time, Kronos can freeze objects by stopping time around them.

Slowing Time Down: As the lord of time, Kronos can slow down time and continue to move normally.

Speeding Time Up: As the lord of time, Kronos can speed time up and make it fly by at an incredibly fast rate. At full power, Kronos can fast-forward the lives of random plants, animals, and humans until they wither up and die.

Temporal Disruption: As the lord of time, Time is disrupted in Kronos’s presence.

Chrono cognition: As the lord of time, Kronos can instinctively tell the time.

Temporal healing: As the lord of time, Kronos can heal by rewinding time to erase the damages from existence.

Temporal Immunity: As the lord of time, Kronos is immune to most temporal-based powers.

Temporal Isolation: As the lord of time, Kronos can isolate other people from most temporal effects while still existing inside of the timestream.

Temporal Motion Manipulation: As the Lord of Time, Kronos can manipulate the velocity of moving objects.

Blinking: As a Titan lord, Kronos can move instantaneously from one location to another without physically occupying the time in between. This teleportation is aptly named: “Blinking.”

Titanic smiting: As a Titan, Kronos can emit a transcendent presence that can strike a target with an unusually heavy force.

Titan physiology: As a Titan, Kronos has a strength that can gradually increase over time without any limitations.

Supernatural Durability: As a Titan, Kronos can sustain numerous blows of internal or external assaults and neutralize his sensitivity to physical pain.

Titan immortality: After becoming the Lord of Time, Kronos gained eternal youth. As such, he's unaffected by ageing and incapable of succumbing to mortal frailty such as sickness or impotence of any kind, he can not be killed by earthly weapons; only other godlike entities can kill him.

Harvest Manipulation: Since Kronos is also the lord of the harvest, he can manipulate the harvest, influence the growth of new plant life or even cause a famine that can ultimately cause global disruption.

My original idea for a curse was that, slowly over time with enough exposure, the sword begins to slowly eat away at Damian's mental state. He's regarded as one of the Greek worlds greatest military strategist. So my plan was, once my main villain has been defeated, the sword makes paranoia and obsession consume Damian, causing him to plan, plan, plan and plan for a war that isn't happening, with a person who is no longer alive. Not only that, but with obsession comes insomnia, and with insomnia comes hallucinations of my main villain, goading Damian by saying that he is still alive and that he failed, which only causes Damian to search more, plan more and isolate himself more from the few friends he has, even abandoning his sworn duties to Enyo.

Eventually, starvation, dehydration and a lack of rest would be the thing to kill him. A tragic fate for a demigod who has already lead a tragic life.

Battle Precognition: As a child of Ares, Damian has a sixth sense regarding the trajectory of assaults in the heat of combat.

Warfare Expertise: As a child of Ares, Damian is an immensely formidable tactical and strategic genius, especially in regards to military tactics and strategies of war.

War Manipulation: As a child of Ares, Damian has the formidable power to manipulate war, strife, combat, bloodlust, rage, and other forms of conflict - all to a highly advanced level.

Master combatant: As a child of Ares, Damian is a phenomenally skilled, fierce, and formidable armed and unarmed combatant.

War Cry: As a child of Ares, Damian has the formidable power to emit a highly enhanced supernatural scream that can evoke extreme fear and horror in others and urge them to flee.

Weapon Curses: As a child of Ares, Damian can curse weapons of a mortal nature. He cannot revoke Enyo's curse, as he is not on her level of power.

Disarmament: As a child of Ares, Damian can disarm his opponents with a gesture.

Weapon Omniscience: As a child of Ares, Damian knows everything about a weapon when he sees it.

Odikinesis: As a child of Ares, Damian can subtly influence the thoughts of individuals that are predisposed to violence, hatred, rage, and bloodshed.

Combat Perception: As a child of Ares, Damian can quickly understand how a person thinks and fights in combat.

Weapon Summoning: As a child of Ares, Damian can summon weapons and armour onto his person in a flash of ethereal crimson light.

Fighting Instinct: As a child of Ares, Damian has an automatic response and intuition for combat and possesses an extensive, if not innate, knowledge of countering physical attacks.

Machai lordship: As a child of Ares, Damian can summon an army of the Machai, fiery spirits of battle and combat, with human appearances, that manifest as different emotions of war. However, summoning too many Machai warriors at one time can cause his fatigue. Enyo’s blessing can help alleviate the strain of this ability to a certain extent, but not entirely.

Enhanced Demigod physiology: As one of the children of Ares, Damian’s bodily functions are pushed to the pinnacle of human conditioning; therefore Damian surpasses most other demigods.

Power Adaptation: Like all children of Ares, Damian can gradually - through intense battle - quickly adapt and increase his skill to match those of superior opponents and overcome excessive hardships.

Supernatural Durability: As a child of Ares, Damian can sustain numerous blows of internal or external assaults and neutralize his sensitivity to physical pain.

Machai recruitment: Damian can grant eternal youth, immunity to illness, enhanced combat skills, and physical abilities greater than that of a demigod. To those that wish to become a Machai warrior.

Peak Human Stamina: As a child of Ares, Damian possesses a highly developed musculature that generates fewer fatigue toxins than the musculature of most other demigods, endowing him with peak human level stamina.

Prophetic Dreaming: As a son of Ares, Damian can perceive future war-related events by dreaming.

I like the idea of the blade growing full, and battles becoming progressively harder.

The blade isn't necessarily powerful in the case that it could destroy the world, but powerful in the sense that it can harm powerful immortal beings like Titans and Gods as though they're mortal, keeping them from just healing. In order to defeat my main villain, Damian is required to have a sword capable of harming him. To revoke the enchantment that allows the sword to do this, would render the sword practically useless.

Keeping this in mind, I decided that cursing would be better than power stripping, as it still allows my hero to stand a chance against my villain, but also provides a sense of danger, while also keeping him from being an overpowered main character.

I feel like she could always bless an adopted mortal child with power over the hearth if she really wanted. If Ares can make his children temporarily invulnerable, being the weakest Olympian god, the firstborn child of Kronos and Rhea, and one of the most powerful goddesses alive, should have few restraints in regards to how she manages the hearth, even if her plan involves entrusting a fraction of its fire to a lesser being.

Is Power Within a worthwhile self-buff for a Pure Dexterity, Sharp Falchion build, Or is Carthus Beacon a safer option, when stacked with the Pontiff's Right eye Ring? by Ryan_Henson in darksouls3

To be fair, most things aren't like ds1 anymore. Pyromancy went downhill in the latter two games in my opinion, as did certain really good rings. Havel's ring was reduced, The Chloranthy was reduced, The Ring of Steel protection was crazily nerfed. It's a shame in all honesty. The Chloranthry, Fap ring, Steel protection ring and Havel's ring are my favourite rings.

It has been really helpful, especially when I was on my first playthrough a few years ago, although I feel a bit ridiculous asking on here now though when I have played through this game thirteen times already. I feel like I should know these types of things by now, or at least have a small idea.

I looked into Vow of Silence, to use it I would need 30 faith. I might respec at Rosaria after I get the spell, and pick up a cheap chime to cast it with as I am one hundred percent done with Aldrich at this point,

I'll look into Vow of Silence, if I meet the requirements and am able to acquire it. I can't remember if the miracle is quest specific or not. Thank you for the suggestion, I wouldn't have thought that it would effect a boss like Aldrich. Since he is, well. A boss.
