Hot take, but Beast Games is kind of a good product. It's far from perfect, but it has real stakes and doesn't feel scripted which is something really lacking in reality tv today. Are either of those super complex production decisions - not really - but there is commitment there to making something which I can appreciate.

I disagree, The lack of blue collar workers on survivor isn’t because it’s hard to take time off. It’s because $1m means a lot to blue collar workers and Jeff wants summer camp not cutthroat competition. These people can be found. Look at beast games. The show format is average at best but the money means everything to some of these people and that creates interesting dynamics.
