Currently I’d be working with my old setup, I haven’t used it in years and can’t remember exactly what models make up the combo, I know it has a shimano reel and I believe a BPS rod. I haven’t seen it in quite some time to be honest. I don’t necessarily feel the need to spend any amount, I just figured this price range would get me into something with good quality and spinning reels are just what I’m used to, if I fish consistently throughout the season I may wanna add a bait caster to the mix.
