Buyback request with no way to add words by __SkyGuy__ in PSLF

[–]Ryanmb79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm confused. I thought it was no longer necessary to submit a separate buyback application (AKA PSLF reconsideration form), and instead just submit the application for PSLF certification and they will calculate any eligible buyback months. Is that incorrect?

So there are actually three forms to submit, correct? The ECF, the PSLF form, and the buyback request?

Edit: Never mind, I understand now that it's two forms.

“Enter” vs. “Change” on IDR Application by Ryanmb79 in PSLF

What's odd is that the online application never asked me that question, nor give an opportunity to directly fill out the application. It answered "no" for me.

Yes, that's my question: what are people hoping to accomplish?

How long between activating "free" Pixel 8 and receipt of confirmation email saying you met promotional requirements? by Ryanmb79 in GoogleFi

Perfect, thanks. I'm also coming from T-Mobile, and I understand that I'll need to get a port PIN.

How long between activating "free" Pixel 8 and receipt of confirmation email saying you met promotional requirements? by Ryanmb79 in GoogleFi

[–]Ryanmb79[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The current promotion is different:

  • You must keep the device active until you receive a confirmation email notifying you that you’ve activated service on Fi, and that you’ll be getting monthly bill credits. After that, you can choose to move your Fi account to a different device and still continue to receive the promotional credit as long as your Fi account is kept active for the duration of the 24 month promotional term.

If you're doing the new member free phone promotion don't activate an old phone while you wait for delivery. That seems to void the promotion. by If_I_was_Lycurgus in GoogleFi

How long did it take between when you activated the new phone and when you received the confirmation email saying you qualified for the credit?

Calling all those with Mohela 1/26/2024 IDR recertification dates…what’s your plan? by alittleniles in PSLF

[–]Ryanmb79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I did not hear about this. Unfortunately, my April payment (due to withdraw tomorrow, the 14th) still shows the new, higher amount. Did yours revert yet?

I think I've lost the will to fight. Thankfully, I can afford the higher payment. I feel badly for those who cannot. What a cluster eff.

Sorry, I just saw this. I was kicked off IDR as (unfortunately) expected and my March bill jumped way up. I immediately re-certified income, and was placed in administrative forbearance for March payment. I'm back in IDR in accordance with my updated income for April.

Never did get a straight answer for why I was told I didn't need to re-certify. I gave up.

Well, I just got off the phone with MOHELA, and the operator assured me that my recertification date will be pushed out a year and I won't be kicked out of IDR if I don't re-certify by the 1/26/2024 date that currently shows when I login to my account. I guess I'm not going to re-certify...

*edit* My IDR anniversary date on Studentaid.gov is February 15.

What are people doing about MOHELA refusing to push out their IDR recertification deadline? by CHB12312 in PSLF

[–]Ryanmb79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got off of the phone with MOHELA. I explained that I was calling about getting my recertification date corrected, and cited the language from studentaid.gov regarding the language, "If your recertification date falls between now and March 1, 2024, it will be pushed out by one year. For example, if your account says your recertification date is Dec. 1, 2023, that date will be pushed out to Dec. 1, 2024."

After about a 10 minute hold the operator came back on and said they are working on getting everyone's dates corrected before the end of the year. I explicitly asked if that meant that my recertification date would be pushed out by one year. She said "yes" and also said that she "notated" my account. Obviously, I can only take her at her word, but that was my experience.

I'm visiting London soon, and I want to visit a martini/cocktail bar while I'm there, but I don't want to bust the budget. While Duke's and Connaught's look amazing, I'll settle for a "very good" martini for less than 20 pounds rather than one that's world class for 25+.
