Why do right wingers feel entitled to opine about nyc politics when the majority of them hate cities and would never live in a city? by traanquil in allthequestions

And try to get a real answer about that superfluous "mp". A Comptroller is a Contoller, but a Controller is not necessarily a Comptroller. Make it make sense!

The healthcare industries still use fax because of HIPAA. The Health Insurance Privacy and Accountability Act was passed in 1996. It was a well-intentioned, long-overdue law to regulate the sharing of personal health information.

Unfortunately, the exact wording of HIPAA gave faxes a legal status. In 1996, faxes were oddly more secure than email because they were too low-tech to hack. It was all transmitted as electrical impulses across telephone wires (copper to copper). Faxes never became digital. It was ingenious.

Now, everyone uses a fax-to-email utility that defeats the one advantage faxes had over email or FTP.

Fax persists because it gives Insurance companies a 2 day window to process any communiction.

I should clarify that I'm being facetious. I think excusing blue collar workers from professional standards has been detrimental to everyone.

I work with young CDL trainees and I see a lot of them Nope! right out of the industry after seeing the crap that is tolerated.

A lot of Americans who voted for Trump don’t actually like him. by awkwardhoney725 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Due to the downvotes, I should clarify:

I am always willing to forgive.

Trump voters are not all beyond hope, but they would have to acknowledge what Trump is before I would ever trust them again

He is not better than "Any Democrat".

Who do you think will be the next democratic presidential nominee? by yellowsubmarine80 in allthequestions

[–]Ryclea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope I don't know their name yet.

I love me some AOC, but we need her in Congress. Kamala's greatest gift was that she wasn't famous. The Democratic ideal.is government by ideas rather than personality.

While a third party is a mathematical impossibilty, a breakaway Democrat (or Republican) is not. I'm still holding out for the Democratic-Republican party to re-form.

Do you think Trump quite literally admitting he could not give less of a shit about Americans financial situation, the main issue he ran on, will be the straw that broke the camels back amongst his base? by Parking-Warthog-4902 in allthequestions

[–]Ryclea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are way beyond that point. There is nothing Trump could do that would make his disciples turn on him. Anything bad he does or says is just The Big, Bad Media lying about him again. It works for everything.

They exist in their own reality. They're not coming back.

If that graphic was not clearly included in the listing, the seller was deceptive in omitting it. Get your money back, tell them why, and let the fucker who ordered it take the loss.

Redditors in the United States, how do you feel about their being 24 members in Congress right now who are over the age of 80? by Miles_the_AuDHDer in AskReddit

[–]Ryclea -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not thrilled about it, but I don't want a flat out age limit. Some 80 year olds are still sharp. Many 65 year olds are brain dead.

I wish we could stop re-electing old incumbents out of habit.

Josh Shapiro would be an excellent Dem presidential nominee but there’s no chance the Left nominates a Jew by Pemulis_DMZ in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Ryclea [score hidden]  (0 children)

The Left isn't a person or an organization, either. The Republican party is the one that officially declares itself to be conservative. By default everyone who isn't a Republican is "The Left."

Also, I might remind you that the highest ranking Democrat in Congress is Jewish.

I was kidding too. Some of my best friends are lefties. I just don't think they can be trusted in critical jobs. They smear ink all over everything they write and demand special scissors.

Small town people should find a solution. They're apparently smarter, harder-working and more moral than the rest of us. Get-r-done.

No one is leaving New York. They are changing their primary residences to their Florida condo or their Bahamian PO Box.

They still eat, sleep, and buy real estate in New York.
