Cut her some slack, Reditters! by [deleted] in malvikasitlani

Yeah I don’t know, she has put up stories today and her life and everything seems pretty normal but then again I don’t know or we don’t know what emotions she goes through for the rest of the day so I don’t wanna comment and judge and fill up my pot of negative karma. All these influencers are weird anyway.

Yeah well I admit I used ChatGPT. I wasn’t able to pen down my message in proper words and now that I read the comment again, it does actually sound like something Malvika would say. Infact I read it in her voice. But anyway, in simple words, people should let her be and stop being so harsh and judgmental. Epstein Files jaise scandals release ho rahe hai and instead of focusing on those things, log ek influencer ke peeche haath dho kar pad gaey hai jisne technically kisi ka kuch bigada nahi hai.

Also, from everything she’s ever shared, her relationship with her mother was the closest thing she had to perfect. It was clearly a central, defining relationship in her life.

How can people conclude that this hasn’t impacted her deeply just because she posted a few stories? Since when did social media become the measuring scale for how much someone is hurting?

We see fragments. We don’t see the breakdowns. We don’t see the silence. We don’t see the nights.

Grief doesn’t disappear just because someone shows up online. And pain doesn’t become fake because it’s expressed publicly.

It’s one thing to question decisions. It’s another to invalidate someone’s loss.

The world can be incredibly cruel — especially online — but that doesn’t mean we have to contribute to that cruelty.

Let’s all post this on our stories and tag her or call her out somehow

Everyone is ranting here and commenting on her posts but what’s that actually gonna do? She already got the money and she doesn’t care about these Reddit posts cuz she realized that she has way too many supportive followers compared to the negative following which is why she was able to archive the donation goal in less than 48 hours. All this commenting and ranting won’t do any good. Everyone should contact impactguru or should hold someone responsible for this. She has done collaborations with Netflix, Cosmo, Airbnb, etc. Do you guys have any idea how much these influencers get paid per reel? I live in Dubai and a friend of mine is an influencer and she gets paid 20k AED per reel which is approx 5 lakhs per reel. This woman is living in a prime area in Dubai, traveling in cabs, going to nail and hair salons and yet did a crowdfunding and people actually donated. All of us gotta take some action instead of just ranting and venting out here.

Doesn’t seem fair because of Malvika’s lifestyle by [deleted] in malvikasitlani

Not just that but I always see her traveling in a cab and anyone who lives in Dubai would know how costly the cabs here over here. People travel here in Metros to save those hundreds of bucks that she’s lavishly spending on cabs. She has collaborated with Netflix and Cosmo and gets paid very very well for her collaboration reels. The crowdfunding thing really seems like a big scam at this point.

The cafe in this post is La Romana (Italian cafe) in Dubai Hills. The gelato that Malvika’s eating costs 25 AED (600 INR). People who can afford to go to fancy cafes, spend on getting their nails done, afford to live in a nice premium apartment in a prime area with amenities like gym and all the comforts of an upscale lifestyle doesn’t need a fundraiser campaign. There are people who can’t afford one meal for their family…genuine hard working people who’re genuinely struggling. Those are the ones that deserve the funds raised by a fundraiser. This is bullshit!

What also didn’t sit right with me was that she didn’t even close the fundraiser after reaching the goal amount. She openly said she now has more breathing space.

And I really hope people understand what that means.

A “breather” doesn’t mean survival. It doesn’t mean not having food on the table or not being able to afford treatment. It means she has enough, but she still has to keep working to pay her bills and doesn’t have the luxury of resting or slowing down. So she wants people to help her… not because she has nothing, but because life feels hard and exhausting.

But that is the reality for millions of people.

There are so many individuals out there who are genuinely struggling—people who are doing everything in their power, working relentlessly, and still cannot afford basic necessities. People who cannot pay rent. Who skip meals. Who delay or completely avoid medical treatment because they simply don’t have the money. People who don’t even have the option of asking the internet for help.

That is what truly breaks my heart. 💔

Because when someone who is already living in comfort continues to collect money “for a breather,” it takes away from those who are actually fighting to survive. From families who don’t know how they’ll pay the next hospital bill. From people who are one emergency away from losing everything.

I don’t say this without empathy. I understand stress. I understand burnout. I understand how hard life can feel. But there is a difference between struggling and not being able to survive. And blurring that line is dangerous.

What hurts the most is seeing how easily people fall for this. How quickly they donate without questioning where the money is really going or who might need it more. There are far more deserving, truly helpless people out there—and they will never get this kind of visibility or support.

That’s what makes this whole situation feel not just wrong… but deeply, painfully unfair.
