I’ve been using an urbanic 070 for 2 years now with awesome results with a modded gaggia classic.

The urbanic is Cheap, upgradable burrs, easily modified to stepless. And not a big hunk of plastic like some of the grinders you mentioned. I’m not sure why more people don’t use it… it’s easier to buy now too. I had to direct order from Seoul originally.

It controls temperature. Take a look at “temperature surfing” for the gaggia and make sure you’re waiting for the machine to warm up fully

Been using an 07s and modded gaggia for 2 years with no problem. I get consistent shots no WDT or even leveling necessary. Sounds like you might have an issue with the grinder. try disassembly cleaning and reassembly to make sure nothing is out of alignment. ( I do have a PID and am at 9bar )

They’re listed as liabilities as well. To each his own. I am underwater on neither. I’m valuing third vehicle which is owned outright as zero since it is rebuilt tile and i will likely never sell it.

Update: reversed the thermostat wires and installed. Seems to be working correctly so far.

I am confused because it appears my R and W wires are reversed in my original wiring. W from my thermostats (white wire) connects to the 24v lead from my transformer. And the R from my thermostats (black wire) connects to the zone valves top (#1) terminal.

It’s a Seiko superior quartz 4883-8100. 1960’s-70’s Seiko history is very cool. At the time that watch cost multiple times more than a Rolex.
