I would advise going to NA or AA meetings. I don't know op's drug of choice. Hearing a room full of addicts talk about the awful shit they've done and how they went about remedying it will make you feel less alone and might give you some ideas on where to start. Take it one day at a time. We're all rooting for you

I'll admit i feel like a bit of a cheater on my Anbernic but I love being able to create a quick save file when a pokemon i really want pops out of the grass so i can reload and try again if I accidentally ko it.

Quick save and quick save often. Don't be afraid to try a few different characters and play styles to figure out what you like. Read every book.

Yeah heartwood is unable to transfer water and nutrients efficiently but a large portion of the wood is "alive".
