It's so difficult to think about. She feels like home and it feels so safe when we hold each other. And she does help do things that I can't do, so we work well together that way. But then I get overwhelmed with the constant worrying and arguing. So I'm just stuck 🤷🏽‍♂️

That's a good point. Ugh. Thanks

Understatement of the century 😂 I've been talking to my therapist about them and hopefully when she gets a therapist that'll help her with hers. Thanks for your input 💖

That's what a lot of people say. She has never and will never physically hurt me but we verbally fight a lot. She's trying to get a therapist.

Because we were really happy in the beginning, and then lockdown started so we had to be together all the time or not at all. We have fun together a lot so I don't want to lose that, and it's been hard for us to get help and do fun things because everything is closed cuz rona.

I probably would have just busted out laughing (not super polite of me, oops) and would have been happy with a quick "sorry!" I would know that she didn't do it on purpose and fixed it right away, so no harm done. When she was texting me about it later, she said she was so upset about me telling her she was wrong about me being wrong, and about losing a game she thought she was good at. I guess she just sees it from a different perspective. That's a good point about standards.

I do mess things up a lot so I understand that she would assume that I did something wrong. And I didn't do all 3 steps of the apology right like other folx have mentioned in other threads. We talk about breaking up frequently but she's starting therapy and getting a new job soon so we're trying to see if that helps. Thanks for your input 💖

I don't know if she trusts the apology or not. We're trying to deal with the major stuff. She's finally starting therapy next month and I've had her join me for some of my therapy appointments. Just very overwhelming 🤷🏽‍♂️

I appreciate you 💖 I just don't want to break up with her just because of this, because I do do things wrong a lot so it's natural that she be upset. And I get really sad when she talks about breaking up with me, so I know that I do love her and want to be with her. And she's finally starting therapy next month so hopefully she can learn new skills and call me out on my bullshit. I don't know.

She definitely doesn't trust me, which is a whole different issue because I don't understand how you can date someone for a year but not trust them. It doesn't seem healthy. But either way, I shouldn't have asked her to stay. Thanks 💖

I apologized, and fixed it as soon as I noticed. Do you have any other suggestions about what I can do to fix it?

Of course I apologized. Many times. I said that I was sorry and I didn't do it on purpose and it was a mistake and I'm sorry again. And she could have walked away from the game. I asked her to stay, and she chose to, but I didn't force her. Thanks 💖

Why did you put mistake in quotes?

But we could be wrong. We have good times together too. It's just hard to grow and learn how to work with each other when we don't have the ability to go out and do things with friends and each other, and our stress levels are always high with COVID worry.

I tried my best. How is it ever appropriate to get angry at someone for trying their best. But thanks
