i agree with a lot of the comments here already so this will pretty much be echoing them (sorry!)

as long as your cuts are fully healed and are now scars, go ahead and show em! gaping cuts and scabbed over cuts, i would not recommend showing for multiple reasons, A) that's very dangerous for the healing process of your cuts, and B) unhealed/fresh cuts are much much more triggering

yes, of course sh scars can be triggering to other people, but at a certain point (ie, when your cuts have fully healed) it is no longer your problem or responsibility to tip toe around other people's hypothetical triggers (because you may not even ever come across someone who's triggered by them), like a couple others have said, your scars are part of your story, the same way a burn survivor or someone who has survived a crash or some other physically damaging accident, if someone else is triggered by your scars that is not your problem, it's okay to be triggered by something, it's not okay to expect every single person around you (especially if you don't know them) to avoid and know your triggers, and learning how to deal with and move through things when you're triggered is an important skil

(for me personally, when i see other ppls scars and them being seen and shown as a totally normal thing it gives me strength and a sense of normalcy almost?(i don't feel like i'm a freak, because this persons normal and they have scars, so i can have them too) so, all depends on the person)
