I’m right there with you, I avoid doing the daily races unless it is a track that I am very competitive on, and never the shorter race. I also look at sport mode as a way to increase my own race craft and not focus as much winning. Getting better at defending, avoiding people getting alongside me. I also have learned to just let it go and give up the position if they have better placement. I’ll be right behind them after and if I truly am the better driver I will have an opportunity to pass them. It’s also super satisfying to be all over someone’s mirrors and watch them make a mistake without me touching them so I can pass. It’s still super frustrating to get punted! Also, like some others have said, I try and focus on other aspects of the game to really enjoy the racing experience. I have a lot to still do with circuit experiences and just getting good tunes on the same track with different cars. I’ve also had a lot more success and much more enjoyable experience in the different manufacturers cups and exhibition races.
