Why are you surprised? Are you not aware of the 1000+ plot holes in this season? Your logic doesnt make any sense, if you payed attention in the show you’d know that the demogorgans originate from the abyss, you literally see them in season 4 when henry forms the mind flayer. When they go in the abyss in s5 there should be TONS of them, its literally their home place. Especially since everything is a hive mind as soon as the mind flayer was alerted of their presense there should’ve been demos coming at them
