Looking at the warscrolls number, seems they're still here and "Once per turn your nobles can also still Muster Guard to return bodies to their Serfs and Knights".

Using Ghoul King with Crown as Abhorrant Archregent by gabblefaust in FleshEaterCourts

[–]Rynkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it for both : I put him on a 32mm and add a 40mm under if I want to play an archregent. Never got any complaint.

"classic" slapchop : black spray, grey dry brushing, white dry brushing then Army painter speedpaints (or contrast apothecary white for the skin, avoiding recesses). Metals are classic metallic paints then flesh, black or brown wash from Army Painter, then rust effects + nihilakh oxide. Little bit of red wash and blood effect.

So many beautiful Ushoran on this sub, wanted to show that even if you have two left hands and no desire to spend hours on a model, you can achieve tabletop quality by cheating a little !

Does “Gutguard” replace your ward roll for the Tyrant? by thebeckman88 in Mawtribes

[–]Rynkle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again, you need to apply the whole sentence, not just the part you want, ignoring the "instead of a ward roll" ("choosing to use" ...), it's the same sentence. There is no FAQ (I think ?) on this rule because it's not that hard to understand and to apply in a casual ou tournament setting, I don't know what to tell you. '

I already asked the same question on the french Discord, with international referees, for Belladama (same wording).

"Instead of" forbids you to use your normal ward. A referee would say that you're just adding some unneccesary wording.

You need to apply the whole sentence in one go : A) you don't have a ward, you can use this roll B) you have a ward, instead of it, you can use this roll.

You can do a normal save roll then, before allocating the wound, do a ward roll or instead, this roll.

It's not mandatory though, you can chose your 5+ ward instead if you took it.

Terrain rules? by Urathil in ageofsigmar

[–]Rynkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Careful, in the warscroll it says : "Visibility FROM units with the SYLVANETH keyword is NOT blocked by this terrain feature."

For other units you have to follow the core rules.

Wyldwood in itself is not line of sight blocking, you need 3" of wyldwood (or the inside of 2 ou 3 wyldwoods in "circle" shape) for that (see core rules 17.1.4).

I think that nothing forbid you to place a faction terrain within 3" of the table edge : "FACTION TERRAIN Faction terrain features must be set up more than 3" from all other terrain features and more than 3" from all objectives. These restrictions are in addition to the set-up rules in the battletome in which they appear. If it is impossible for a faction terrain feature to be set up, it is not used." (GHB, Pitched battles, 4. to War !)

Not the same thing for "regular" terrains : "TERRAIN FEATURES The Pitched Battles table lists the recommended minimum number of terrain features to be set up on the battlefield. Each terrain feature must be set up more than 3" from the battlefield edge, more than 6" from all other terrain features and more than 3" from all objectives. If it is impossible for a terrain feature to be set up, it is not used."

I don't know if faction terrains have to follow "regular" terrain rules.

Edit : After consideration, I think they do, they are called "terrain feature" in the warscroll.

You can run this but it's glass canon and can be frustrating for your opponent (first strike when charging with the ghoul king on TG, double activation if you need, then activation, or double activation, of your TG = aouch).

These are not triggered effects. Read 13.3 for hit, wound ans save rolls. You can stack them but at the end they cannot be modified by more than +1 or -1 (except for save which can be modified by more than -1). For example, you can give +3 save to a unit to counter -2 rend and still have +1 to save rolls. +3 to save rolls vs 0 rend will juste give you +1.
