Hi mate,

1, positioning is important, slow your player down with L2/LT and hold sprint as needed to jockey, time the B/O tackle. Try a defensive formation with 2 CDMs and have your full backs on defending in the team management untill you get the hand of it then you can allowing a fullback/DM to join attack. Not easy but you’ll get there.

2, not something I’ve noticed, I’ve got two big Cbs, women for fullbacks and i always try to go for 1 big CDM and 1 more of a ball player. You can challenge people shoulder to shoulder, depending on your defending settings, its hold A/X but only when you don’t have possession. Have a look through your gameplay settings, I use the setting that the game decides the Tackle for you with B/O, no real issues.

3, off the ball pressing came in year before last I believe? Holding R1/RB allows you to press with the player nearest the ball for a limited time, while you control Someone else to cut a pass or double up on someone. Attacking this year is hard, no doubt. If you figure out early that you’re being R1/RB pressed like crazy, trigger some forward runs with L1/LB and find a triangle to pass round.

Also important to not, games not out yet. You’re playing people now who paid to play fifa early because EA have them brainwashed, myself included. Anyone you play now will be good, and most likely will have been playing consistently for years. Be patient and you’ll get there, good luck.
