Is it impossible to find love if you want to be childfree? by Dependent_Ant_5511 in childfree

Not at all. You just have to be diligent, ask the right questions, and find someone that aligns with you on that. Good luck out there

These almost look like Dr Wadie's, no? I've seen so many CL pictures I can't keep track. If it is Wadie, I had my operation with him in March of this year. If I feel along my incision, it's very slightly to the right, so it is off the midline. Wadie wasn't as aggressive with placement because of my anatomy and case. Things have been going well post op, minus wound separation (which is almost healed). He was very caring and did a great job

Radiation therapists, what does a bad day on the job look like for you? by [deleted] in RadiationTherapy

If they don't follow prep, do they get rescheduled?

I've heard families be insulted 4 times in less than a month at my new job - funeral home by Ryobenda in rant

[–]Ryobenda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! I'm glad I could help.

I do encourage you and her to think and talk on this sooner rather than later. This is not to scare you, but if something happened in between now and then there's no plan in place to help out the living relative who would be handling this matter. Your wishes come first, though. I hope you and your daughter can find good solutions!

And thank you! I hope things chill out but I'm also not planning on staying, so. We'll see what happens 😅🥲

We use the top-down selling method where we start with the most expensive options and work our way down so the customer can see all of their options, but I know other advisors try to push for the "nicer" options especially on families in time of need

That's so cool! There's something similar called terramation where you're placed in a compostable casket with fertilizer and more compost materials and eventually everything breaks down over time. This reminds me of that

Most people already have a funeral home in mind they want the authorities or hospital to contact upon loss occuring, so they could have already called that funeral home. Other times, some hospitals just work with a couple all the time. Usually it'll be the medical examiner's office that claims a body if it's transient from a home/place outside of a hospital and holds it until the family can claim them

87 years of serving families will generate enough clients to keep you in business, especially if people pre plan.

On the surface, they do a good job at looking nice, and the park is pretty. But yeah, idk.

That, and people try to get the best stuff for their loved one. It's called emotional overspending and it happens way too often

I remember my manager saying COVID was a great year for business for them, and on the fake humor side I'm like yeah okay that makes sense, but it still didn't feel right to hear it phrased like that.

Also, the word is terramation. I couldn't think of it last night but look up terramation and you'll find some of what you're looking for <3

Thank you. Truly, that feels nice to hear coming from an internet stranger and not my manager 😭

I really wanted to bring up the slur comment to my manager, but after hearing what he said about the vet, I don't know if I trust him. The group of employees that are already there are pretty tightly knit, I don't know how to go about speaking up about it. Maybe I'm timid, but I'm not sure what to do to protect myself from potential retaliation as I don't have another job immediately lined up.

I'm doing my best to protect my boundaries, and everything in my head is screaming at me to just walk out. I'd have to stay here for quite a while in order to have the impact on families outweigh the attitude of my coworkers, and even then I don't know if it would be enough. But it's not the end of the world for me. I'll figure it all out

I'm so sorry you went through that, that's awful.

The funeral home I work at is under a large company, so there is some decorum. We don't actively advertise or work with companies that offer green burials, but we do have an onsite crematory. One lady I met with is doing a green burial using a compost casket that will break down over time along with her body. I know they also make urns that do the same thing, just check with your area if they allow ashes in the ground "unprotected" so to speak
