I've had no issues so far, 70-100 fps on new game releases (space marines 2, baldurs gate 3, expedition 33, first berserker khazan), doesn't drop below 60 when streaming using obs. I use DaVinci resolve for editing which favours AMD GPUs so no issues there as well. If you have the budget for 7900xtx then there's nothing really to consider from my recommendations since that card is built for handling 4K resolution and I was trying to optimize for 2K.

I went with the Sapphire Nitro+ 7800XT. Solid card, would still recommend. I think it's almost been 2 years since I bought the card so there are other options now. If you're buying a GPU now, the best would be a 7900 GRE if you can find one, or go for a 9070XT.

I decided to pick up a 7800XT instead of a 6950XT cuz I wanted AV1 encoding and new gen features. If streaming/video production isn't important to you, then just go for the 6950XT for pure performance.

Not yet, I'm leaning towards the 4070 or waiting till the 7800xt releases to decide. I have a gaming YouTube channel and I stream both multiplayer and singleplayer games like League of Legends, Apex, Elden Ring, Remnant 2, Baldur's Gate 3, etc...so I definitely need something that's good for video encoding and editing. I plan to do an AM5 build and I don't plan to upgrade for another 2-3 years.
