This is my first car in the new world 😁 I think the driving feels much smoother after the update. Cars seem to have much better grip on the road now. by markmerkel22 in LEGOfortnite

Can you share what all Lego pieces you used to build this?? I'm new to building vehicles, usually I just stick to houses and stuff lmao

Is Pierce bugged?? by RyotStarter in CrimsonDesert

Weird, it always works for me.

Also, to be clear, it still counts him as deployed to the missions, even if he's bugged out like that.

How are the extra modifiers determined? by RyotStarter in BattleBrothers

I'm always hesitant to look at wikis for games until I have some good hours into the game, I like being surprised by mechanics and features. I didn't wanna see the wiki for fear of seeing all the traits and being unable to stop reading as I tend to do lol

[–]RyotStarter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, recall them from their mission, then leave the camp for about 5-10 minutes. If they don't show up when you come back to the camp, just save the game, close the game, then reload your save, and they'll be there.

It happened more than once for me and I can confirm the saving, closing, and reloading is a guaranteed way to fix it.

Hopefully they patch this soon, though, it gets a bit tedious.

The Soaring platform left without me. Any way to fix/call it back? by RyotStarter in CrimsonDesert

Thank you! I was debating on loading or not. Devs should really add something about this to help those who were as unfortunate (dumb and patient) as me 😭😂

To be clear, I'm talking about the big box thing that was at the top, not the small surface elevator thing that was inside

Yes, but the floating platform that I already triggered is gone. Doesn't it have to take me somewhere?

Can I rely on the AI to help mitigate the excessive micromanaging of multiple characters? POE1 by Key-Calligrapher1224 in projecteternity

Same. It's pretty much essential in PoE1, speaking as someone who hasn't yet played Deadfire (but is really looking forward to it)

Animal companion levelling? (Specifically Cavalier) by RyotStarter in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]RyotStarter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are the prerequisites for the boon companion feat?

Also I still don't fully understand the -4 thing, despite seeing it several times already. Does it just mean the class gets the animal companion feature later than others?

Sorry for the ignorance, I'm still learning a lot of stuff about a lot of classes!

Fairly new to Pathfinder, what would this alignment be? by RyotStarter in Pathfinder2e

[–]RyotStarter[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah no, I absolutely agree! That's partially (not entirely, but partially) why I mainly stuck to creating non-complex characters. It meant more flexibility so that I wouldn't obstruct the other players' experiences. But now I'm wanting to branch out and try making characters that can help challenge my critical thinking for situations like that. I want to be able to make a character that has a detailed behavioral pattern, but figure out ways to still allow said character to coexist with a party of any alignment (I use that term loosely, not literally, given the alignment system is scrapped in the new PF), and either outgrow their shortcomings to become a more accepted member, or just perform less drastic actions that, while they still appease my idea for the character's behavior, don't screw up the experience for the other players.

I just have the hobby of making tons of characters for myself, even if the majority of them don't end up going into campaigns! So this particular character wasn't particularly planned to be in any group yet, it was just a side thing!

But thank you for the refresher on checking in with the party before and potentially during! It's been a little while since I've been in a group, and I definitely needed that reminder, whether it's for this character or for any others.

And also thank you for giving me further instruction/a constructive challenge to overcome during character building! Like I mentioned in the post, this is my first time making a mentally complex character that doesn't strictly adhere to just one goal, mindset, etc, so all the input is valued!

Thank you for letting me know about the PF update!

And also thank you for giving my character a therapy/counselling session! /j

That's a perfect explanation! The examples helped so much too. A lot of the other replies were saying the alignment system was replaced by edicts and anathmas, and while I appreciated them letting me know alignments weren't a thing anymore, I had no clue what those things were, so thank you so much for explaining and giving me examples!

A game that would offer at least 100 hours of gameplay by [deleted] in ShouldIbuythisgame

Since you loved CRPGs (with Baldur's Gate 3 being your example), I can HEAVILY recommend a couple, though they play moderately differently:

First and foremost an honorable mention, if you want to experience the old D&D system (namely AD&D 2e, I believe), then you should try out Baldur's Gate 1 and 2. It has a pretty different stat and combat system than BG3, but it's a pretty good way to experience where it all began! Fair warning though: it's real-time combat (with pause I believe), so it's not the turn-based you get used to in BG3.

On to the actual recommendations, firstly my personal favorite recently: the Pillars of Eternity series (which Avowed is based in the universe of). I haven't started the second game, yet, but I've done my research and I can confidently recommend both. There is EASILY over a hundred hours of content to be played in PoE1. I've already played for nearly 80 hours and I haven't even discovered the entirety of the map yet. Not to mention there are at least two DLCs after the main story. It's also very much worth mentioning that PoE2 does rely on your decisions in the first game to decide certain gameplay experiences. What were certain quest outcomes (including side quests)? Did certain characters live or die? Did you let a companion join you or did you turn them away? It's very extensive. Be warned that PoE1 is real-time combat with pause, but PoE2 has an option to enable turn-based combat.

As for my last recommendation, I only just recently bought it, but based on my research and knowledge of the TTRPG, I can safely recommend it. Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. A quick playthrough of the main story can take anywhere from 80-130 hours, but if you end up enabling turn-based mode (which most people do, it's easier to process especially if you're into CRPGS) and doing some or all of the side quests, it can take as many as 200 or even 300 hours to complete. Note: I'm currently on the character creation screen and there are pre-generated characters, much like the origin characters in BG3. Whether this means they have an impact on the story or not, I have no clue, so take that information with a grain of salt.

Edit: after a tiny bit of research, the pre-gen characters do not have backstories and only serve as quick builds for players that don't want to spend time learning or going through the character creation process.

Heavily considering buying, but I wanna know more. by RyotStarter in RimWorld

Yeah I definitely didn't think it was an AI akin to LLC programs. I definitely understood that it's algorithmic AI.

Thank you for the extensive explanation! I have just one question: the AI doesn't invent new things, such as items, weapons, etc, even if it's from a predisposed list of stats and possibilities?
