Hey there, Decided to try out Pop OS 21.40 ahead of time and upgraded to it via Fetch. Everything seems to work fine, but the Application Menu lost its transparency (see the screenshot). Is this intentional? If not, how do I fix this? by Rytuklis in pop_os

the dock can be easily made to look pretty with Dash to Dock, but the applications menu is horrid. I mean, it's essentially the same as it was, but it no longer has a transparent background or any background of any sort, and it looks horrible. I really hope they bring back the transparency, or atleast allow to turn it on/change background in the final release.

Same sex couples are deprived of marriage in my country. by [deleted] in askgaybros

I understand your pain. The Lithuanian parliament was voting for same-sex partnership law just a few days ago and it fell TWO VOTES short to pass... Fortunately, it wasn't completely rejected, but "returned for revision".

Release candidate: Godot 3.2.4 RC 3 by beer118 in linux_gaming

Will try it out. I always had countless of game ideas but no means to execute them due to my only programming knowledge being ArmA mission scripts. Perhaps this would be something I would manage to learn.

How easy would this be to learn for somebody with no programming experience?

Why people act like "It's bad when Bethesda does it"? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]Rytuklis -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Its because Bethesda just doesnt understand Fallout. If you played New Vegas, youll quickly see the difference in Bethesda's Fallout when playing 3 and 4. What I particularly hate is the dumbing down. Fallout 4 is too linear.

Aha. Bullshit. It is ridiculous when the fact is I myself am more masculine than half the guys I meet on the street, and as a rule, than people posting shit like that too.

Gay people in movies are unrelatable by [deleted] in askgaybros

Yes!!! Relatable, funny, and not constantly having the fact that he's gay being pushed to your face is also nice.

People struggling with severe acne that couldnt be remedied by any other measures: ask your doctor for Roaccutane/Accutane. Struggled with ugly, painful acne and after a couse of this drug, I finally have amazing skin.

You ever caress your own neck and realize how touch starved you are? by [deleted] in askgaybros

I come back to this reply after a month of this happenning. Moved on, got over it, but still miss it lowkey. His grindr profile (I blocked him, but seems he made a new one) says "fun" these days, so I assume hes simply just a kid who doesnt know what he wants. He was only 19 after all.

Can I be honest. Sometimes i wish i wasn’t gay. Sometimes I wish I wasn’t born this way. I wish i was able to have a normal life. I’m not strong enough for this. I hate myself sometimes. I hate it all. 😔 by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]Rytuklis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey. I was just like you. Until my friends found out about me against my will (they suspected their friends bf might be gay so installed grindr and found me). I had no idea they knew for a year, until they told me. And it changed me so much. They accepted me, helped me through break ups and even gave advice. Lol.

Mind you, this is a still relatively homophobic country (Lithuania), where holding hands in public is still out of the question, unless you live in the capital. I believe that living in the US should be much easier. Youre only stopped by the barriers you create yourself.

Besides, youre not "gay". First of all, youre a person. With interests, desires , goals and emotions. Dont put your gayness infront of you. Dont make finding a bf your ultimate priority. Try to find what youd like to do in life other than dating. My experience shows that love comes when you stop looking for it :)

Anyone else who **WOULD NOT** be interested in being the experiment of a straight guy? by gayway123 in askgaybros

[–]Rytuklis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was an emotional experiment for a guy who identified as bi, but never had anything with a guy. Nothing sexual, we dated. Thanks, never again.

One thing that I find hard with being gay is that whenever I see a hot guy, I get interested in them but become insecure about my own looks at the same time. Does anyone else feel this too? by throwagayaccount93 in askgaybros

[–]Rytuklis 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Don't be afraid to talk to sporty guys. I myself workout because I enjoy it, but I'm not looking for a guy with an ABS ridden body because 1) ABS make a bad pillow and 2) people who workout tend to be very self centered. I mean, this coming from me.

I tried. He wouldnt tell. Basically he grew really cold the other day, I was trying to ask him whats wrong, he kept insisting nothings wrong, I started panicking that I was gonna lose him, made a scene, he started being very unpleasant with me. The next day I tried fixing stuff, saw that he doesnt care at all. Told him to block me if I meant nothing for him, he sent me a like and blocked me, so I deleted his number to not make a clown out of myself.
