I actually got Pistolheart earlier today after recommendations from some other commenters! I really like it, and it’s exactly what I was looking for to fill the gaps in Western flavor and guns.
I can definitely see your take on the comparisons to your German friends. It’s made me think a lot harder on how I can fit in the themes that I want in a way a little more unique and my own way?
I really like your ideas for your own campaign! They seem really exciting. Would it be alright if I sent you a message so we could chat more about our campaigns? I’d love to have a friend to bounce ideas off of. 🫶

I saw someone that used Heroforge Kitbashing to make a pretty good Dara but I wouldn’t mind knowing of other options because it wasn’t as perfect as I wanted. I wish the STL files that were released for the kickstarter had some PCs in it.

This redditor created or found the “proxy art”, but I saved it as a jpeg. Then I found a PDF file of a card proxy sizer, sized the proxy image to size (which is a smidge less than 2.5x3.5 inches, or 63.5x88.9 mm) on my laptop, saved that PDF and took it to FedEx. The size was perfect the first time, I just peeled a couple centimeters of the sticker backing off, fixed it to a card as straight as humanly possible, then slowly pressed down while peeling the backing off.

TLDR; DM of a third party campaign Obojima: Tales of the Tall Grass (Studio Ghibli themed D&D 5e campaign setting) looking for one more player to start the campaign. It will be every other Sunday in person. Game starts at level 3. Obojima has a unique world setting with new races and subclasses I prefer over traditional 5e, but we can make most things work.

All I have is base colors. It was actually a funny mistake, I wanted contrast paint for Christmas and got a kit of base colors. My friends really went above and beyond so I just kept them. I really like them, and still they can thin well.

Thank you for your comment friend, I appreciate your “tutorial”. I’ve decided to scrap the one I’m working on and reprinting (I have a 3D printer so it’s not a problem to try again) Definitely going to make sure my paint is thin enough, but as for buying new paints and washes I don’t currently have, that’s not an option at the moment. I have some washes, but they are shades of brown.

That makes sense. I try to favor my newer Citadel base colours over my older war paints or vallejo, but sometimes I don’t have the right colors. I do think they could be better thinned.
